This tool is a time saver. It has all the parts you need to install those pesky bushing. This tool gets them in perfectly the first time every time.

One of the clamps is bent, otherwise it's a pretty good bargain.

Bent the metal into a bad shape and had to hammer it kind of back into a circle -

In a perfect world without rust, this tool might perform ok. In my case, the bushings I was working on were original, dating back to 1994, and this tool wasn't enough on its own. What I recommend doing is to carefully cut the old bushings out with a Sawzall, and then use this tool to install the new bushings.

I had no issues when using this product correctly. To follow what I did:Spray penetrating oil around the old bushingDrop the trailing arm down by disconnecting the tow arm from the body, undo the two bolts for the trailing arm bushing, undo the bolt for the upper control arm, and undo the bolt that connects the shock to the lower control arm. Support the trailing arm with a jack so the brake line doesn't tear.Hammer the old bushing out from the back. On the exhaust side, you can use a punch to hammer it through, which is harder, or you can remove the back section of exhaust and hammer it out from the back. You could potentially remove the little stopper tab on the tool and press the old bearing through the arm with this tool but make sure you break the bushing loose with a hammer first.Use multipurpose grease to grease both the new bushing and the hole in the trailing arm. Use a hammer to get the new bushing started and straight. If you followed those steps, you can then hook this tool up to the trailing arm and push in the new bushing like butter. I've done these bushings a bunch and using this tool definitely makes the job easier. Make sure you line up the little stopper with the top of the trailing arm when using the tool.

Just received the tool and as soon as I opened it, I could tell someone has already used it and returned it. Tool still seems fine, but I paid for a brand new tool, not a used one. I don’t want to wait longer to send this one back to exchange it for a another one, but some money back would be nice.

Decent product, sturdy but definitely feels like it could be better. Not bad and gets the job done, but the moving pieces can get stuck here and there.

Works as it should. You just drop your control arm low enough for the tool to fit on. Easier to use with two people. The bushing does have a top and bottom fyi.
