Did not want to drill a large hole in fiberglass and this works great.Light is bright for size and blue looks great at night.

If you are looking for a slim line led light this would be a good option. Im very happy with the results. However it's a little pricey when you are trying to do accent lighting to the whole boat.

I bought these because these matched ones that were on a new boat that I purchased and one failed within the first year. Then another failed and I replaced it. The other day I hit the switch that controlled three of them and one blinked and failed. I wanted to get to the bottom of it, because these are expensive to keep replacing. All of the failures had something in common. There is a circuit board with the LEDs on it at the center of this light. For prevention of water infiltration and damage, this board is covered by a clear flexible plastic coating. All of the failures, and now some of the ones that haven't failed yet, show large cracks and separation of this coating from the circuit board. New ones out of the package are completely intact. After the crack and separation occur, its only a matter of time before moisture damages the circuits and the light fails. I haven't identified what causes the cracking, it appears to shrink with age and not only cracks but separates from the board it is intended to protect. The lights are not in an extreme environment or in direct sunlight, and haven't suffered any damage or mishandling. Instead of continuing to replace them as they break, I'm going to find a higher quality light and replace them all. I'd suggest staying away from these.
