Unlike my previous purchase, this one lasted less than a day before it started failing. Not worth the effort to return.

The item arrived as described. However, this device offers very little tension or resistance when opening & closing the door. The door flys open with the slightest touch and doesn't always latch shut. If you tighten the tension screw to offer tension when opening, it for sure won't pull shut hard enough to latch. We didn't have this issue with the previous one. This will be temporary.

The cylinder can’t even pull the door shut in a soft breeze, and the rod bent around my door frame the first time the wind reached the level you could hear or feel and the cylinder was overpowered, despite being mounted according to the included instructions. I would look for a sturdier unit.
