I've been using this product without problems for a month now. But I'm writing a review not just because the product works nicely at a reasonable price. I also recommend them because I got some great customer service from AVAcccess's support team when I first purchased the item and had a problem getting it to work due to my remote device (a Reolink NVR) trying to output 4k video when this KVM only supports 1080p. The support team helped me fix that WITHIN HOURS of asking for help and got my setup working. Thank you AVAccess Support!

Complete control over a gaming tower in a two story house, broadcasting across Cat6a between these adapters, supporting a portable 18" monitor, split keyboard, wireless/dongled mouse, and headphones plugged into the portable display! It just works!

Use to run a 75ft Cat6 between front stage and control booth. My USB cam and USB Audio interface works together just fine, since this thing has two usb ports. All metal housing. Power supply has locking screw for added secure power connection.

HDEX80-KVM: Games and videos look great with this extender, however, if the screen is busy with small font text, the text becomes noticeably fuzzy with compression artifacts. I'm picky so that's a deal breaker for me. I'm going to instead buy the unit that does uncompressed video. The 4KEX100-KVM video quality is uncompressed and appears perfect. I run a 2560x1440 display at 60Hz. I ran a 50M Cat7 cable. Works great.

I usually wait to give any reviews, and I've been using this for one year without any issues. I'd rank it up there with that group of things I've bought and had no regrets. Monitor works great.

Wasn't sure how reliable this option would be ..... but pleasantly surprised. Customer wanted to view live cams in a side office for night-staff, but the dvr was on a different floor in an equipment closet. Wanted to avoid a PC with additional software or browser configurations (meaning more potential complications). I was worried that mouse *and* video over one ethernet cable would be buggy....but everything was just plug and go. - - NOTEABLE FEATURES: Two (2) usb ports (flash drive and even wireless KB-Mouse combo are supposed to work fine) / Only 1 power connection needed (can be at either end) / And (of course) ....the best part is you only need to run 1 standard ethernet cable.- - - So far, this has literally been a straight-forward KVM"U" switch (a bonus available usb port to boot) that was simply plug-n-play but 100+ feet away from the box. For best video quality, use a CAT6 cable.

This set of HDMI/UTP TX and RX worked very well for me. I needed to get a computer's HDMI output to a conference room in another part of the building. I used the existing IT department data cabling, bypassing all Ethernet equipment, to join the TX and RX together. These are NOT Ethernet based, but use the same copper/UTP cabling as Ethernet. Power LED, Status LED all serve to help in troubleshooting. Chassis are steel, come with mounting brackets/screws. I would buy again. I did not need any tech-support so I left that review blank. Picture quality was hard to judge since my source material was not prime quality to begin with. My customer saw no difference. I am only using it for video content through the HDMI, so I can't attest to any audio/sound performance.

Purchased the HDEX80-KVM. Was dead on arrival. USB worked correctly, however video through the HDMI did not. Tried both Cat5e and Cat6 cable, with no difference. Both test cables were less than 6' long.I noticed that the build quality seems cheap, and the components are very light and unsubstantial feeling. Incidentally, the module also seemed to run hot. this makes me concerned that even if it did work correctly, it may not last. Looks like i'll be looking elsewhere.** Update 5/14/18**I spoke with a technician named Ryan, who contacted me hours after I sent an e-mail to tech support following the issues I had with the first module. He was extremely professional and quick to dispatch a second module which arrived a few days later. This one works! The USB seems to have little to no delay and the video at 1080P looks as good as though it were connected locally. I'm using cat6 cable at 50-ish feet with no problem. Also, the issue with the heat on the first module must have been due to the internal issue it had, as the working module does not have that issue.A couple of observations:1) This will not pass a HDMI CEC signal. This is a niche requirement, and it was not stated to have it... My fault for net checking.2) i would recommend applying the power to the Receiver module, as it seems to help with higher current draw USB devices. If you are using just a mouse and keyboard, then you should be fine connecting power on either end.Would recommend AV Access to anyone.

HDMI worked fine, but I couldn't get any USB device to work with it. Tried contacting the seller on their website with no response. Returning this product.Edit: After trial and error, I found the problem to be using shielded cabling, rather than UTP. I didn't originally see this specified, nor in the manual, but I now see a note under technical details, but UTP was mispelled TUP. Also eventually managed to feedback from the seller.Works great now, a short delay between starting audio and getting sound to start playing. No delay on graphics.
