This solvent is definitely good for smoothing and shaping Apoxie Sculpt clay. But DEFINITELY wear gloves. Between this solvent and Apoxie Sculpt clay, I got a bad skin irritation after prolonged use. I wasn't wearing gloves.

I have used it with the epoxy putty and it works exactly as advertised, it's great with this. I also use epoxy glue to put pottery back together and if you use this before the epoxy gets hard it makes a quick easy clean-up on the joints. And I also use it to help clean-up both synthetic and regular Japanese urushi lacquer on the pottery when working on them.This is great stuff and does not hurt my hands in any way but I am usually wearing gloves.
