The NeutraPal will raise the pH of the condensate to a more neutral level before it is discharged to drain. Includes: 1 litre (0.26 U.S. gallon) transparent capsule made from corrosion resistant materials with two 3" fill/access openings, 3" inlet and outlet screen, 3/4"-14NPT threaded inlet, 3/4"-14NPT threaded outlet, two 3/4" MNPT x 3/4" FNPT unions, three 3/4" NPT to 1/2" hose barb fittings, 1/2" barbed Y fitting, six hose clamps, 10' of 1/2" ID vinyl tubing, and two base/wall mounting clamps.

I got this to neutralize the condensate on my furnace. As another reviewer mentioned, the included hardware is complete junk. It leaks like crazy, which I speculate is because the fittings on the cylinder are NPT (tapered) and the nylon hose barbs use MIP (straight).The bypass I built using less than $10 in parts from the big orange store has no issues with leaking so I don't think it's anything I did. This item needs significantly better hardware to justify the pricing.

Works as specified to neutralize acid condensate from a gas furnace or boiler. While a bit expensive, everything is in the box and it is heaps cheaper to replace this yourself with this kit rather than calling your local HVAC person or plumber to do the job. Reminder: use a permanent marker to write the date of the install on the cartridge body so you know when to replace (typically every five years).

This kit is really convenient, it's a bit pricey for what you get but it's everything you need all at once. Installed in 20 minutes.

This has quite honesty made the situation worse than it was before. No matter how lightly or tightly you fasten the provided hose clamps it leaks almost all the water, pre filter, all across the basement floor. This has created a nasty salt build up and constant mess where before it was a perfectly dry floor and just concern that the condensate could be eating away at the drain over time.The provided hose & Y adaptor are incorrectly sized and/or poor quality. Have tried everything including new hose clamps from hardware store.At the point of having to replace all the hoses and Y adaptor, and having to monkey with that I should have just built the whole thing from scratch for $20-30.If you're like me and are looking for something that just solves the problem, look elsewhere. And if you want to monkey around with it, honestly just go to the hardware store and build something in 30 minutes.

Now that they raised the price a SIGNIFICANT amount, FROM 75 to 115, AN OVER 50% increase, NOW I DO SAY, JUST MAKE ONE YOURSELF, THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU GET, It used to be worth it, but not any more. Now I say just make one, it will be cheaper, Such a shame they did that. Everything after this is what I believed to be true when the price was 75$ now, the following is false. It is still a good product, but definitely something you can make for a lot less. This is a very nice set for the money. It came very well packed, and as soon as I opened the box I knew it was a good choice. The way it is all packed shows how much pride the company takes in their product. I was thinking of making my own since it's an easy concept and these are kind of pricey, but this one, for 75 bucks, comes with so many accessories, and everything is a very good quality, I honestly do not think you could make one this nice, and this complete for less money, so just buy it already! Don't waste your time making one only so you can say "I made it.." Save your time, time is money, and just buy this. It looks very professional hanging on my wall. I also didn't realize, but it comes with two couplings so you can easily remove the clear tube to replace the fill periodically. If you have ever purchased those types of couplings, they're about 10 bucks each! So again, what are you waiting for, just buy this.

By code and it's the right thing to do, you need this if you have a instant hot water heater, replaced another model that was there for over 10 years, and this one installed in 30 minutes, I did have to go to the hardware story my hot water heater needed a different adapter than the ones supplied.
