How to Measure Your Handlebar Size

Easy to install. Stem has markings with torque specs and angular adjustments. Comes with a hex key, in case you don’t have one!

I got this to increase the adjustability of my handlebars, specifically to relieve my back by being able to vary the elevation of my grip on long rides. It works just fine. Each bolt has a specified torque, so it's important to tighten them to that level. Unless you are an experienced bike mechanic, I'd recommend using a torque wrench. Too little on the fork extension and it may shift laterally, too little on the angle adjustment and it will rattle or creak, too little on the bar clamp and the bars can rotate. And of course too much will strip the threads - most likely on the stem since it's aluminum. Also, when tightening the bolts on either the fork extension or the bar clamp, work them in so they visually look even, then go back and forth (or around the group of 4 on the bars) with your torque wrench tightening them half a turn each time until the specified torque is reached. This will ensure you get an even clamping force.

The original stem on my bike was fine, but I was looking for a more upright riding position. Since the fork steerer tube was already cut from the factory, I had to resort to changing out the stem to get more rise. This stem did the job perfectly.The installation of the stem is not too difficult. Making sure the preload on the headtube bearings is the only difficult part if you aren't familiar with bike assembly. You don't want it to be to tight or the bearings could prematurely wear out. Too loose and the same could happen but you will also have a lot of play in the handle bars. If you aren't super confident, a quick video search could help with installation.Overall this stem did exactly what I needed it to do. Give me a more upright riding position.

Conforma à la photo, et les mesures sont juste .Potence (31,8 mm -12mm).Fournie avec deux clés à l'aine.j'ai su ramené mon guidon vers moi à la bonne hauteur .Mon dos est droit maintenant quand je roule , plus agréable surtout quand on roule 45 minutesvoir1 heure ou plus.Donc acheter sans soucis .

The looks and build quality have been great so far. It was easy to assemble and fit my aventon level.2 bike perfectly. Having the little bit if adjustment makes for a nicer ride with less hand numbness for me. Only drawback I have, even with a bit of assembly grease. The joint creaks. I tried before without the grease and after with the grease. Made no difference. It is kind-of annoying. But really doesn't affect the performance of this adjustable part.
