I really like this baby play mat. The colors and designs are gender neutral. It includes lots of cute sensory toys to keep your baby engaged. It's a good size for an infant or baby. Putting this together was slightly challenging. The most difficult part for me was inserting the bolster inside. The zipper is tiny and I was worried that it might break but it didn't. There's arches and plastic clips to hang the toys from. The bottom isn't very padded but the large pillowy sides give me concerns. Please, please, please only use this under close adult supervision. If a baby rolled over in this sleeper it's face could get buried in the tall pillows causing suffocation. I'm a Mom and I've worked in a daycare. It's recommend that baby's sleep in a crib with no blankets, pillows, stuffed animals or crib bumpers. I'm only writing this because I had my kids in the 90's and things have changed a lot with sleep safety for infants and babies. Please use this as an activity mat and not a place for your baby to sleep. It's a great activity mat. My infant grand niece is over all of the time and she's very comfortable and happy. She's too young to play yet but I can see her eyes checking out the toys and she gets some good stretches in. The quality is nice and the price is fair.

I ordered this baby gym play mat for my grandson who is due in a few months. It is a nice baby shower gift for any expectant parent. The mat that the baby lays on is lightly padded to offer a bit of comfort on hard floors. A pillow is included which can be used for tummy time. The pillow that came with my play mat had defective stitching (photo uploaded). This play mat is also a lounger. It has a large padded bolster that surrounds the baby. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR A BABY TO SLEEP IN DUE TO RISK OF SUFFOCATION. NEVER LEAVE BABY UNSUPERVISED WITH THIS PLAY MAT. Sorry for the all caps but that is important information. This play mat doesn’t come with instructions so some parents may not be aware that it can pose a suffocation risk if the baby rolls and buries their face in the bolster. The color scheme is mainly light pastel colors. Newborns do better with high contrast colors like black and white. The fabric book has 4 pages that are high contrast colors but everything else is pastel. I had a very hard time figuring out how to insert the bolster. I’ll give you a hint to reduce frustration on your part. Locate the handle on the right side of the play mat (not the top handle). Now look directly across to the opposite side of the play mat. The tiny zipper is there on the left side between the white material and the blue material. The arches can install either on the backside of the play mat or on the inside between the padded surface they ksy on and the bolsters. I feel like the inside placement is much safer. In that position the bolsters don’t pose as much of a suffocation risk because they lay flat to the floor. When the arches are installed on the backside of the play mat it positions the bolster vertically with much higher sides. Tying the bottom closed compounds the issue. Photos of all three scenarios have been uploaded to provide a visual. I’m willing to give this play mat 4 stars but only if the arches are installed on the front. With the arches installed on the back, I would lower the rating out of fear of suffocation.
