This is a great case for small to medium sized binoculars. The case is very well made. The material is thick, water resistant, and quiet. The main compartment is magnetic. The magnetic connection is actually very strong and is very easy to get into, which is ideal for when bird watching or hunting. The case is compatible with attachments that are sold separately, but I think that the case is great without. The straps and back of the bag are cushioned and breathable making for a very comfortable fit. Overall, this binocular case is ruggedly made, comfortable, and easy to access.

Quality gear can be hard to find, even more so when you take value into consideration. There are some items that once you pick up and hold in your hand, you can tell if it's quality or not. The Badlands Bino Mag 2 is quality. This is my first Badlands product and I am very impressed with what they've made. I really like the magnetic lip closure and the retaining magnet when opened. The magnets are strong and I trust their claim of being sealed. In terms of material quality, construction, design, execution, and end-user usability, it gets high marks from me. I would not hesitate to use this bag to protect any of my optics while out on a hike or hunt. In addition to binoculars, it's also easily adapted to being a general-purpose chest pouch and can also house smaller camera systems and items. Just for giggles, I tried putting in a Canon RF 28-70 f2 attached to a EOS R6m2 with a cage on it. Surprisingly, the medium bag accommodates it fairly well. The whole lens with hood is able to slide into the pouch and the body/cage rests right at the bag lip. Obviously, I can't close the bag, but I would feel confident in using it as an open pouch/holster for my camera system (of course with limitations on bending over and jumping a lot).

Make sure you look at the sizing carefully before you order. My Nikon ATBs were not listed so I played it safe and ordered a medium. I should have ordered a small because the case is bigger than needed. I have used several elastic style harnesses, but my current favorite is the Kuiu harness because it is super light and fits close to your body without bulk. The materials have a high-quality feel and the camo pattern is a good breakup that should work in many darker environments. I believe the case itself provides very good protection for your glass which is should be everyone's goal. The harness has a very generous yoke, and it fits very comfortably at the bottom of your rib cage. I wore it around for a bit and even in warm temps it was very comfortable. Seems to have plenty of adjustment for when you add cold weather layers. There are many attachment points, and an elastic bino cord with quick release rings on each end. The flap closure with magnets works better than I exppected. It's quiet and drops down out of the way without flopping around. There were a few things I thought were not as desirable. One is that bino cord. It does not go back in by itself, so you may have to fiddle with getting back inside or it interferes with the flap closing. The other thing I did not like as much was the size and bulk. The sloped top adds a height, but overall it just seems bulky. It does not move around, but takes up a lot of space up front. I don't think it will interfere with hunting activities, but it makes your side profile much wider. So I would recommend this harness and case system because it is well designed and built. Just be aware of the size and added bulk before you buy.

Love this for spot and stalk hunting as small snug fit for binoculars. He really likes that the closure is magnetic and is strongly closed so no worries when crawling that it will fall open. Great harness and my favorite one of the three i have had.
