I liked this better than a guillotine style cutter because it does not crush the bagel. The guillotine blade is very difficult to sharpen, if you can at all. In my first attempt to use this, I sandwiched the bagel between the steel bars and had a difficult time cutting the bagel evenly. After referring to the photos at the top of the Amazon page, I realized that the bars were positioned incorrectly, and the second and third bagels were cut easily and with much less concern for my fingers being cut. Overall, I like this better than hand cutting a bagel

Now I don't have to worry about cutting my fingers instead of the bagel. This is a very nice bagel cutting guide that I should have gotten earlier! You can put small bagels or large bagels in this because it is easy to change the size guides to match. Your fingers are on the other side of the guide as the knife so no problem. Also, the strong bamboo base is perfect for this as bamboo doesn't scratch very easily. The slots to store the metal rods is a nice touch. I love this and would definitely recommend this.

I was so excited to get this bagel slicer. You can slice small to large size bagels. It's adjustable there's so many different combinations you can use. It has front and rear holes for stoppers for centering the cut guide, you can adjust the rods in any position and has a good grip and cut straight down. Very easy to use. I like the adjustable thickness. This is very easy to store, easy to clean and it's portable.

This is not a usable item and instead of letting me return it at somewhere close to me, Amazon wants me to travel quite far. First time I have ever had an issue making a return.

This Bagel Slicer Cutter for Small and Large Bagels, Adjustable Stainless Steel Slicing Guide, Easy to Store Bamboo Base, Universal for Muffins, Bread Roll, Buns works but I think only for bagels! It’s easy enough to use! But will probably not be used as I will most likely forget I have it!⭐️ 1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. It has some faults, but the quality is adequate for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable; it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

This is a good product to keep in the kitchen drawer but there are a few things about it that will probably cause it to go un-used. There are a handful of holes in the wood board to put the pegs into to slice. But there should be more. The first thing I was going to try and slice on this was an english muffin. Unfortunately the pegs would not allow me to slice it thin enough to where I could cut the muffin in half. Next idea was to try a loaf of sourdough bread but I had the opposite problem, I couldn't get the pegs to go wide enough to fit the bread in there. This thing will work work great on pretty much al bagels you want to toss in there but that's where it ends. Price is cheap enough and if you eat enough bagels and want a small and compact bagel slicing guide, this is for you. Just seems to be a little too specific of a product for my use.
