Maintains System Pressure
This valve ensures that the foot valve always maintains system pressure or prevents backflow! The valve connects to the end of the suction line to keep the pump primed, allowing fluid to flow in and preventing fluid from backing out.

Works okay but it took three of there to get the correct size. What does the advertised size mean?

This foot valve used on above ground jet pump, about 16 ft down to water in well. Has generally worked fine. despite fine mesh screen ocassionally lost prime probably due to grain of sand gettin in it (any foot valve does that) made mostly out of brass and screen is stainless
