The bolts allow you to release the kinetic energy stored in your crossbow without damaging one of your hunting arrows and are perfect for discharging your crossbow in the field. Our de-cocking bolts have glow in the dark fletching for low light cock vane identification They are perfect for unloading your crossbow in the field without damaging one of your hunting arrows. Simply remove your arrow and insert the Evac bolt green fletch down. Ensure you have a clear, unobstructed area of ground to shoot the Evac into. Aim your crossbow at a 45-degree angle to the ground, take the safety off and pull the trigger.

Check bow make sure it’s lubed look for signs of wear if it needs replacing replace it but weigh heaviest bolt then weigh docking bolts if it’s light don’t shoot it and make sure it will clear rails these. Wins are hard plastic

Not sure why some others are complaining about these decocking bolts. Yes, they may be a tad on the pricier side, but it sure beats having to walk back to my vehicle with a cocked crossbow or using a weigted end on an expesive bolt just to decock - I have destroyed two aluminum and two carbon-fiber bolts, around $75 in value. I used to use TenPoint's CUB decocking bolts until they stopped making them and then I found these. Small and compact, right weight for my crossbow, and fits in my field pack or on my sling. I can't speak, to the glow-in-the-dark claim, but the green fletch has two notches to aid in identification so you know which to put in the rail groove. They have a crescent nock and will NOT and were NOT designed for the newer crossbows that require a typical "grasping" nock, like used for compund or recurve bows. Great investment, will definitely be buying more to keep a stock on hand.
