Fit between the barrel extension and the standard barrel nut.
Will NOT work with .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor barrels or barrel nut.

TACSHIM shims can be used alone or in different combinations.

These shims allow you to line up the barrel nut with the gas tube hole if you're having trouble staying within the recommended torque settings.

Be sure you understand how thin these are at .0001-.0004, because they can easily warp if you're not careful. They worked with a barrel nut that could offset the timing with one-too-many of the .0001/.0002 shims, so don't underestimate these.I was skeptical of the price-to-amount and size but this was money well spent and I can finally finish my upper. receiver.These are accurately advertised. What you see in the photos is what you're getting. Each shim size is labeled with a mark on the correct size in a small bag.

I do a lot of precision centerfire cartridge reloading. I use these in conjunction with L.E. Wilson cartridge gauges. Trying to find close tolerance shims is like looking for hen's teeth. These shims with an ID of 1" are slightly oversize for the normal 7/8"X14 die thread size, they still work perfect for raising the sizing die in small increments to achieve the correct 'shoulder bump".
