Base plate is 5"x5". Thankfully I got galvanized ones. Shipping is high when buying more than one.

Not as advertised.The base plate is not 6"x6" but instead is 5"x5".Also mine came painted blue, not a big deal but I wanted it for an art project that needed the metallic finish shown on the product photo.Now I need to paint it of another color.Its made in China.If you are using this for a scaffold then the product will work.
