Our Spalding "The Beast" portable hoop is super heavy duty and has real tempered glass. Unfortunately it wasn't beastly enough to stay upright during a tropical storm and was blown over which damaged the rim. I ordered this hoop because it looked very similar to the original rim and after receiving it I think it might actually be the same! This is by far the best rim I've had. The construction and materials are excellent and the bracing ensures strength and a rigidity for predictable ball response and improved play. Just like the professional rims, this is super solid so you'll have consistency in how the ball bounces off the rim. It comes will all the hardware to install and a very nice net. I highly recommend this rim and expect it to last a very long time.

Purchased a new rim about 8 years ago, when we moved to a house that had an in-ground goal with a busted rim. The rim I purchased back then was a pain to put up and after a few years had a few of the net hooks pop off.This rim I expect to fair much better and I think will be worth the extra price. The design of how the net connects to the rim should prevent a lot of problems (even if it will be harder to change out). The rim is very heavy duty and would be comparable to what you'd expect in a normal gymnasium.I was able to put this up on my own. It took much longer for me to get my old goal down then to put this one up. I did have to loosen the spring bolt a little because it came pretty tight. Beyond that I have been very very pleased!

Havent needed to use it, got it just in case. It does come with all the pieces in the description. Holding it up to the net, it looks like the exact same one. I dont see any problems fitting this in the future.

TLDR: Really good basketball rim! 🏀 This thing is heavy duty, and a really good rim to replace any cheaper rims out there. It is a bit pricey but I think it’s good for what it is, as this one is made a lot better than the ones I have had in the past! I love that I can hang the net without the hooks (if you get the tube tie version) so that no one’s fingers get hurt trying to dunk. The spring action is great, a little stiff right now but I’m hoping overtime that loosens up some. Otherwise loving it so far and glad I got this to upgrade our old basketball hoop.
