This is the best trolling motor plug money can buy. Pricey, but definitely worth the investment. Easy to plug in and unplug. And easy to connect the wires to. Don't but the cheat twist lock plugs.

This will be the last connection you will ever need for your trolling motor. I know it's expensive, but you will never deal with a bad connection again.

After melting the factory plug on my Lund 2075 Pro-V Bass and my Garmin Force trolling motor I decided to upgrade with the Battery Tender outlet. Super easy to install. One thing I did was to fill the cover with waterproof silicone. Didn’t want to trap water.

Terrific product. Exactly what you need for a modern trolling motor. The lock mechanism is great and it is easy to install. Probably should be cheaper for what it is. Or at least come with a full set of quality lugs to suit.

Definitely leagues better than the factory troller plug. Got this to replace a worn out plug. Based on recommendations from others in a forum. Ran new wires marine 8 gauge from rear battery compartment to bow. Cut hole a little large and mounted in same place. Used heavy duty crimper and professionally finished off the wires. This plug is super secure. No vibrating out in rough or bouncy waters with the twist lock securement. No concerns with voltage loss.

There was 2 options when or this plug. One was definitely more expensive then the other. I ordered the cheaper one not know what to expect. This one arrived with everything needed as well as the option to plug in straight or on a 90* still not sure what the other plug gives you for almost double the cost

Very solid connector. A bit overpriced for what it is, but I’m super happy with it. Very positive ‘click’ when it locks into place. The waterproof cover is nice to have when the plug is removed. A much better plug and a great upgrade to the old twist-lock style trolling motor plug I had in my boat.

I've had my boat for about a year now and had noticed a bit of corrosion and pitting on the TM plug (Marinco 30 amp twist lock shore power type) and sort of "filed it away" knowing that I was going to need to look at it in detail at some point. Every time I had used the little button on the TM base to check the battery level I had only gotten three of the four bars to light up, even after doing a full charge. I figured that either my batteries were going or that maybe all of the lights on the TM didn't all work... Then a few weeks ago I read a thread on microskiff about the Battery Tender plug and decided to do something about mine. Did a bit of searching and found it on Amazon for cheap with Prime two-day shipping.Boom. Friday comes and so does my new TM plug. Wow, what a nice looking piece of hardware. So I start my install - Pulled the old Marinco receptacle and found corrosion, especially on the 24v + lug. Nothing surprising though and I continued with the install. No issues siting the new receptacle in the same spot, just had to make a little Starboard bezel (bust out the table saw and router) to cover the old hole and mount the new. I then opened the old male plug and found lots of green. Rather than mess with the corroded screws I cut the wires and stripped them back for the new ring terminals - Oops, black dusty wire. So I cut it back some more, and some more, and still some more. All I was finding was black coated copper with lots of dust. I got tired of this game and just cut off about two feet of wire and replaced it with new tinned marine grade wire. A couple of adhesive lined heat shrink butt connectors and some matching ring terminals and we were finally all set. Why MG doesn't use tinned wire in their TM cables is beyond me. Anyway, put it all back together, connected the wires, plugged her in and voila! A nice and bright set of LEDs shining back at me. Nope, the fourth LED wasn't burned out and nope. my batteries weren't failing. I just had a ton of resistance in the wires from the plug to the TM. The Battery Tender plug/receptacle is a nice system and looks like it'll be a lot quicker and easier to connect in the dark on early mornings.

I have a 24 volt Minn Kota Riptide 80 ST trolling motor like this one: Originally I was using the Ranger Plug on my Ranger boat, but when the service guy worked on my trolling motor, he would complain about my plug. I think it was because there were four electrical connectors and none were marked so it was not easy for them to know positive and negative. He convinced me to switch to the Minn Kota official plug like this one: Now I was having a problem because the receptacle is recessed and I was always fiddling with lining up the three plugs to push in and twist. It was such a pain that I was about to go back to my Ranger plug when I found this battery tender connector. At first I was hesitant to purchase this because I could not tell from the picture how this connector worked. Now that I have received it, I am more than pleased. This battery connector is a marvelous example of careful engineering. Basically there are two electrical connectors, clearly labeled positive and negative. Between the two connectors is a bit looking screw extension that fits between the two electrical connectors. The shape along one edge is wavy so the connector goes on only one way. Then turn the dial which is connected to the bit looking screw and it pulls the connection together tightly, locking it in place. Note that this is not a typical screw that takes a bunch of turns to secure the connection. The threads are more like a drill bit, so only a partial turn pulls the plug in. This connector is heavy duty and of excellent quality. There also is a quality connector cover made of rubber for when your trolling motor is not plugged in. I highly recommend this product to those looking for the absolutely best battery connector for your trolling motor.I uploaded several pictures that give better angles showing how the connector works.
