Does a nice job making rice, nice and small form factor for my limited counter space. My inner pot started to peel after about a year and a half, I think because it was left on the keep warm setting too long on my last cook. I reached out to the company, willing to purchase a new inner, but the fantastic customer service sent me a whole new unit!

Replaced this with a Toshiba 6 cup rice cooker. This bear cooker burned many things, and although it was cute, it was not worth any of my money.

There was some learning curve at the beginning because the manual not giving a clear explanation of what the top red churning light meant. But we figured it out as the start of cooking process. What we love is type of rice is customized i.e white/brown. We use brown feature for the black rice and it cooked perfect. Just follow the recommended ratio. Will buy again as gift!

I’ve cooked with this four times so far, thrice has been rice and once has been oatmeal. It’s turned out great every time. Good texture, easy to use, no leaking, and cooks in about 15-25 mins (unsure since the time only displays once it’s close to finished). The directions are straightforward and cleanup is easy since it is nonstick. It’s also a great size for storage in my limited space.Before buying, I read the reviews and people complained of leaking, but if you follow the directions (filling liquid to the line according to how many cups of grain added and using *their provided cup*), there should be no problem. Also, do not lay things on top where the screen is because of potential scratching.

Got this rice cooker to replace my much older and larger one which had started burning the rice on the bottom resulting in waste. This rice cooker cooks rice well and is easy to use. Rice does not stick to the ceramic coated pot. Takes up little space. No need to add extra water for brown rice, but it does take longer to cook than white rice. One cup brown rice took approximately 60 minutes. There is no total time indicator for cooking. The timer only turns on when there is 5 minutes remaining. Wish the detachable cord was a bit longer to keep the rice cooker and steam further away from the cabinets. Also need to be careful scooping out the rice as the rice container is small, hot and can spin if not held in place. Overall, pleased with this rice cooker. Sure is cute. Got a good deal with 20% off coupon.
