This product was missing the special but it was supposed to come with. I was able to use an old socket I had but it was harder to use.

I have purchased these in the past, and they were perfect with hex head bolts. However, it takes a lot of force to install them. Allen heads don't match up. I bought them for my son and he took WAY too long to bring them back for me to return. Please go back to the old style!

When I installed my bedslide didnt get the mounting in right location with this kit I was able to correct my mistake perfect match for the orginal kit that came with the bedslide

A lot of the reviews on this item have said they got Allen head bolts instead of hex head, which made it difficult to torque the Rivnut into place. Which is true.But the previous truck my bed slide was installed in had the hex head bolts and the bed slide would drag against the thick head of the bolt, causing the bed slide to not function properly. I think they addressed this exact issue with the Allen head bolts.The problem with the Allen head bolts, is that it is hard to torque the Rivnut hard enough with just the Allen head stripping out. So I just used a hex head bolt to set the Rivnuts, then removed it and used the included Allen head bolts to fasten the bed slide frame into the Rivnuts. Worked really well.The only complaint I really have is that there are no instructions included, and although it isn’t rocket science, some explanation of the Rivnut setting tool they give you would have been nice.Overall, the system works fine and I’m really satisfied for how solid it is once mounted. I constantly have it loaded at or above the recommended weight limits of the bed slide and it’s doing it’s job keeping up.

Very expensive and after receiving I realize that there are "back yard" ways that will eliminate the damage of mixing metal to the aluminum body of a Ford pick up.

The Amazon picture shows a hexagon head bolt. I received a Allen head bolt. The hexagon bolt allows for the torque and a ratchet to be use to compress the rivet, the Allen bolt uses an Allen L wrench that is impossible to compress rivet. If I can't find a hexagon bolt to use, I'll return for refund. I'm disappointed with vendor and Amazon for the substitution.

They work great IF you have an allen wrench that fits into your rachet…. VERY HARD to set fasteners with regular allen wrench….. worst case go buy new bolts with regular hex head

Works great once you get installed but I highly recommend heading to the hardware store and replacing the allen head bolts that are supplied with hex heads. The allen heads strip way too easily
