I didn’t know how hard getting on and off the toilet after surgery would be. Don’t try to do it without this device I am so glad we installed it and it was an easy install and it gave me freedom plus the portable potty was okay at hospital but no way at home.

I ordered this toilet seat with handles with the intention that it would help my mom who has MS, sit up straight and have something to grip while in the bathroom. Unfortunately, she does not have the strength to hold herself up using the handles, therefore they became rather useless. In addition, she likes to sit on the toilet at an angle, and rest her back on the backside of the toilet, however with the handles being in the way this is not possible.

Thought this was going to be an enhanced toilet seat for my LO. I did not mount the seat to toilet but did install the grab handles to the seat. I put it on a chair and my LO grabbed the grab bars at the front and instantly said they were cutting into her hand. I have no clue why they just didn't make the handles round for an easy grip. Now to add even more frustration....once the grab rails are inserted into the seat they can not be removed. I called the company twice and this was confirmed. I told them I needed to return it and they just said sorry for the inconvenience. Requested from Amazon the return and refund which I was able to do. The problem was/is since the arms would not detach I had to pay for a box and packing. For future reference for this item....DO NOT attach the grab arms before trying the seat out. Have your LO use their hands to feel if the grab handles will be comfortable. If you don't mount or attach the handles it will make for an easy return by using the same box they came in

This is my second purchase of this toilet seat. They are wonderful. I would give them 10 stars if possible. My husband has Parkinson's and this makes it much easier and safer for him. It was easy to put on. We cleaned old toilet seat and stored in a plastic bag. I purchased open box so it was quite inexpensive although I would pay full price for these.

This is a great, solid seat to give the support you or your loved one needs. We looked around and had previously bought one (another manufacturer) that we had to return because it was missing parts. This has all its parts and is well-packed.However, can't 5-star it because it comes with no written instructions! I did a search and found a YouTube video to figure out what order to put the plastic washers in. Bemis doesn't even have a sheet of instructions you can download on their website. So be prepared to do a search, bring your phone into the bathroom and install.Maybe I'm a bit harsh on the all the companies foregoing the cost of a page of instructions these days but on certain items (like this!) it would be great to have them. We've had several ill/aging members of our family and these items get installed and then removed and then installed again later. I hate to rely on videos being available in perpetuity when companies move on to new products. Just a half pager would have been really useful! Also, the arm support is a bit of a hassle to snap in but is secure once you get it done. So, overall, this delivers on the support you want. Just as always, make sure to check your measurements for the clearance you need on both sides next to the toilet.
