Very easy to install and really strong. Rope can be hooked in securely. Just make certain you adhere it to a tough area or wall. Can also be secured to a ceiling. No problems with rust etc so far. Great sturdiness.

This is a SOLID hook! The bottom part of the curvature of the hook is exceptionally beefy which offers the true strength. The ability to bend an exercise band over it and hook it is truly done with ease - there is ample room, yet not too much so as to easily allow the band to pop off during use. I am confident that the band is not going to snap off and hit me as I exercise (not something you want to think about - it can take attention away from ensuring proper form/movement). Using a strong carabiner to hook a pulley on the unit with weights at the other end is also something I am quite pleased this can do with no issue, nor is holding a couple hundred pounds while I do pull-ups on a pull up bar!It comes with some self-tapping bolts as well as some bolts with metal sleeves and a nice decorative nut - neither of which I could use since I was putting it into a floor joist in by basement ceiling (unfinished). In my case, I used a machine bolts and nuts with washers on the other side of the joist to spread the compression forces over a larger area and offer greater stability to the mounting - after all, I am much more concerned about the mounting than the hook itself since this hook is a beast!

This is one beefy hook. Among other things it's advertised (in multiple images, and text) as being suitable for resistance bands. That's why I got it. But it's designed to hold up to a ton (2000 lbs) reliably. Resistance bands don't need a 2000 lb capacity. Also the hook design, with its retention ring, makes use of resistance bands, with frequent changing of bands, inconvenient. If I wanted a hook that could hold up the weight of my car engine then I just found it, but I'll keep looking for a hook that can support use of resistance bands and quick interchange of them.Beefy: The hook is substantial in its construction. The base plate has two predrilled holes 1-1/2" apart on-center, one on each side. That means the holes are too far apart to properly anchor this hook to a, typically, 1-1/2" wide wall stud (2x4 means 1-1/2 by 3-5/8 these days) . The screws would not be wholly contained in the stud even if you centered everything perfectly. The hook comes with two 3" wood screws and two 3+" concrete anchor bolts. If you're going to anchor this on a wall in a typical home you're going to need a) a place where you know you have a double (or more) stud, b) a wider mounting plate you've anchored to a single stud, or c) a substantial concrete wall (or ceiling). These narrow your options considerably.So, if you're looking to mount your resistance bands, keep looking. If you're looking for a substantial hook that allows quick swapping of bands possible, keep looking. If you're looking to hang a hammock for a whole family or to hoist the engine out of your car, then maybe you've found the right hook.Because the vendor places so much emphasis on use with resistance bands, I'm taking two stars off. For the typical homeowner this advertised use is misleading. But the hook itself, for other heavier duty uses, is good.

Bought it for the unique design...use it all the time in my small home-based gym. Can't imagine it ever breaking...but find a solid something to anchor it in!

This is a very sturdy hook. Versatile for different suspension systems and can be mounted in a few directions.

The construction is sturdy indeed. But putting rubber bands on and off is a big pain. Disappointed
