I am a third generation saxophonist, who is been making my living, playing saxophone for 60 years. I am bisaxual and trisaxual when my soprano comes out of the closet, I have bought dozens of Saxophone straps and harnesses over the years. Believe me when I tell you the BG harnesses the way to go. It will set you strait no matter what horn you have in your hands.

Fine for soprano, alto or tenor saxophone or bass clarinet. It has a clip that closes, so it won't accidentally come off and cause damage to the instrument. Easy to use. Probably the best sling currently available.

This harness is sturdy and comfortable. Great purchase for my 9 year old who is learning the sax. The neck strap was causing too much stress in the neck. My son is finding playing the sax more comfortable now, with the harness.

Any saxophonist that is too self conscious of how harnesses look let me say this:1.) the durability of this particular harness will make sure you don’t have to buy another, so if you don’t like it, don’t buy it again and use it when you’re older2.) my saxophone teacher in undergrad told me a story about how he got into a car accident and ruptured a disk in his spine, when he tried to use a neck strap he couldn’t even bear it for 10 seconds without reaching for this harness.In my humble opinion, if you want to save yourself some pain in the long run regardless of personal injuries, your playing would highly benefit from a well built sax harness like this one.

I've had this harness for seven years now. It took a few minutes to figure it out the first time I used it. But now it goes on like second nature and it will save your neck from straining. Very comfortable worth every penny spent. Great job on this harness and great price.

The superior saxophone harness. Comfortable. Easily adjustable. Wide range of adjustment, alto to baritone with no problem. Tried every other harness I could, jazzlab, neotec, oleg, and many more. This is the one to buy.

To me, music has always been wonderful, until I turned 60. It then became a chore because these old muscles and bones just ain't what they used to be. Although the neck strap for my tenor sax is padded quite adequately, the weight of the sax is just too much for this old man's neck to hold for more than 40 minutes. My wife plays keyboards and I know I must have irritated her when I was always rushing our practice sessions because of the pain in my neck. Received this 'harness' last week and it's just wonderful. We played two mini-concerts over the weekend that lasted a little over 90 minutes each and I was as fresh at the end as I was at the beginning. It seems as though I could play for an unlimited time (providing my lip holds out). A minor drawback is that the nylon straps where the hook attaches have rough edges and created a minor skin irritation on the lower part of my chest. This is really not a problem and I'm certain I can figure out how to avoid that in the future. I only gave it 4 stars because I'm concerned about the durability of the hook. I thought it had a metal hook but the one I received has a plastic one. It seems heavy duty but I'll need to see how it holds up for a longer period before I will upgrade this review. After strapping myself in this contraption, I can see how ladies might have a slight problem, especially if they are 'well endowed.' I understand there is a version of this for women. I just love this thing and so glad I found it. Amazon's shipping is great as usual - so glad I became a Prime member.

Like I said could use a swivel clip on it.It is a good strong strap, but it is also a bit cumbersome to slide up and down.
