  • Update: We have had some customers with residue issues, so I ran some tests to figure out what was going on. Big Tape uses a silicone adhesive that works to create a great seal and keep water ourt. But, if you install it while the car is wet and you seal water in behind the tape - the silicone gets gooey and will leave a residue! So, don't install when the vehicle is wet! And, if you do - like I did for my testing - you can remove the silicone residue with warm, soapy water and a sponge. Make sure you remove the silicone before it dries.

I put this on the back of my van window last year. The van has been sitting all winter long . The plastic tape is still holding. I had to layer it, in two separate pieces across the back window . But it held together great and is strong.

Buy this product if you like wasting money. Put it on my window as instructed by their website and five mins down the road, I have it flapping in the wind and my daughter in the backseat shivering. Such a waste of money. Company should be ashamed of themselves.

Great product and easy to install. Better if you have 2 people to stretch tight. Works great for street driving. However, very high pitched noise when driving on the highway above 55 MPH. Can’t hear the radio even when in high volume.

Needed a new motor & regulator for my vehicle’s passenger window as it quit working. We tried silver HVAC tape, duct tape, & painter’s tape to hold the window up. It would work for a day or 2 then they would let go (it was in the high 80’s to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.) I did some more Google searches, & came across this product. WOW!! I wish I had found it before I tried all the other tapes. We followed instructions & applied this per directions. This stuff is amazing! It stayed on in these high temperatures for just under 4 weeks. When we came back from vacation it was still on, no leaks at all. Finally had a friend help with my new motor & assembly yesterday. It clings well, but no damage to my vehicle at all when we took it off.Spread the word, this stuff truly works.Very happy with price, how easy it is to apply & remove as well.

I normally don't write reviews, but I was so happy with product that I had to do one! I had the back window on my SUV broken out in a freak accident, and ordered this to cover it up. I was able to apply it without a second pair of hands, in maybe 15 minutes. I did apply some painter's tape around the edges, just to be extra careful. Had to be on the highway several times in the two weeks I had to wait for window replacement, and it held beautifully! I did discover that at high speeds it would kind of move in and out slightly and make a very muffled "thup" sound, but found that if I slightly cracked two windows, it was as steady as real glass and no more sounds. (Maybe equalized the pressure inside and outside the suv?) Could see out the back window very well, not to the point of reading a license plate, but could definitely see everything behind me. When I went to get the window replaced, it peeled off easily and left no residue. Was so happy with the product that I ordered two more rolls to put in the trunk of both my vehicles, to have in case of emergencies.

The film stuck together well and stayed on my car to keep rain out. So that part of the product worked, but it left a ton of adhesive on my car that only came off after several rounds of cleaning. First I used Goo Gone, and a semi-abrasive sponge. It was still on there. It finally came off after using nail polish remover and my plastic window scraper.

It works impressively well. Covered a broken car window with it, & it stayed on well until I could get it fixed. I was careful not to drive too fast, so not sure how it tests out against the highest recommended speed, but I would definitely recommend it for temporary patching of a broken window.
