This is heavy and solid. I don’t feel worried that it will bend under any weight. It is very strong. It hooks onto the seat post and then into the bars down by your tire. It came with a net as an open way to hold things inside the basket and a waterproof stretchy cover for if it rains. It goes over the whole basket. The fabric liner for the basket is great as it keep items from sliding out of the slots on the sides. It weighs about 5.5 pounds so I’m not kidding when I say it really is solid.The problem with it is I cannot figure out how to connect all of the pieces. The instructions are super tiny and blurry and they don’t have distinct instructions or details as to how to connect the basket itself to the frame. I’m not sure what my problem isWith it all but I have been trying for 2-3 weeks ofGoing back to it and trying again and yet I still don’t have it fully installed. I’m not sure how to get the basket onto the rack. The instructions are not clear whatsoever and don’t show how to connect it. So while this is super heavy duty and well made in and of itself, I cannot use it until I get this figured out of how to get it onto the rack. I will update this if I get it figured out or if I get more information or details about it.

Includes the rack and the basket! Great value!! This is a great kit as it includes the rack and the mounting basket. The baskets are super handy for those small trips to the gas station or if you are going out and need an easy way to haul some stuff! Great deal for the price, easy installation and great kit!

The rear bike rack is well made, very adjustable and relatively light. The adjustability allows for easy fitting to most bikes. But all the adjustments are a bit clumsily. In order to fit a wide range of bike frames the fittings are Unnecessarily large and bulky. If your frame is slim you may need to add padding around your stays to keep the support rods from slipping or scaring your bikes' finish. It is light weight but not the lightest rear rack by any means. Other than that, the rack functions just fine.My biggest disappointment with this purchase is the very heavy weight. It is a very hefty basket that attaches to the rack very clumsily. The heaviness of this basket seems terribly mismatched for this rack. I would recommend using the rack but replacing the basket with one that is better suited for a rack like this.3 stars because the basket is way too heavy.

This is a great bike rack & basket, & is a great replacement for the rack that was on my bike originally. However, it is not quite all that easy to install, because the instructions are not that easy to follow & the print is super tiny, & the pictures are hard to follow. The fit of the basket, once it is installed is really secure, & I appreciate that. I also love the size of the basket, because it is large enough to hold quite a few things, & I don't feel like it is too small, or that I have to worry about things falling out of the basket. I also love the fact that there is a basket net (with hooks) included, so that I can secure anything I put in the basket, & that there is a cloth insert, to keep things from falling out of the basket, along with a rain cover. This makes my bike even more functional than it was before, & I love that. This is a really great value for everything that you get when buying this basket.

I can't see myself putting anything in this basket or just on the mount that would exceed the capacity or feel dicey to carry. I mounted this to the back of my sitting scooter which has rear suspension and thus cannot use the rear supports that mount to the frame in any way, so it only projects from the seat stem, and to my surprise, that is plenty of support! Doesn't feel flimsy at all, doesn't rock up and down, it is extremely secured and ready to handle a load!The inclusion of everything you need to mount everything however you'd like to mount it is very much appreciated! There's the luggage rack itself, the basket with multiple ways to mount it to the rack, a reflector that mounts to the back of the rack, a very nice basket insert, a basket cover, sort of like a shower cap to keep things dry and insulated, and an elastic cargo net.Good quality, good product, I would recommend this for your pedaled mode of transportation of choice.

I got this for my vintage coaster bike and was surprised at how big and sturdy this is. The rack itself could definitely hold a person on it if you have the pegs on your wheels. But then with the basket - it's absolutely large and strong enough to contain a pretty decent sized load. The basket attaches & detaches easily, which is important to me because I wanted to be able to use my dog lead on the bike too - which wouldn't have been possible if the basket was difficult to manage.It feels like high quality steel and will add some weight to your bike if that matters to you for some reason, but maybe that only matters if you're racing? Very pleased with this.
