Didn't grab very good. Couldn't get it tight enough. It kept slipping out of the top tube even after using locktight.

I needed to increase the length of my steering tube for a better fit and this stem extender works great on a road bicycle.

Bending over and looking thru my eyebrows hurts my neck. I like to pedal more upright. You too will adopt my choice when you become a senior citizen.

If I could give this product negative stars I would the bolt material is horriblly soft it makes you think it’s enough to secure the bike but nope snapped mid ride and cause a pretty bad crash would not recommend

Absolute garbage. The extension is slightly smaller than a standard steerer tube do you have to tighten your stem bolts more then normal and the bolt to tighten the extender is soft aluminum. It feels tight once you install it but put some pressure on your bars and it bends like a wet noodle. I wasn’t even riding the bike and it bent. How easy it bent just sitting on my bike makes me think it would of completely snapped if I was riding on a trail or around the neighborhood. Only good for your mother in law's bike. The bolt bent so much it couldn't even come out of the extension anymore. That bolt should of been made out of chromoly steel.

Ejerce su función muy bien, el más largo flexa un poco y no vi el pal de apriete para el tornillo

I switched my Fox Tapercast fork to a new frame and it was just long enough to get the handlebar stem on right against the frame. I wanted my bars to sit up a little higher but dreaded putting one of those ugly stem extenders on when I came across this gem. Granted the front end doesn’t feel quite as stiff as it once was now but I only ride on the street so it shouldn’t be a big deal. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for heavy trail or downhill riding though, especially if you get the longer one and the stem is attached to only the extension and not part of the original fork as well as you might experience some unwanted handlebar shifting when you hit a hard bump going really fast. Installation was pretty easy. The only tricky part was removing the start not w that I had already installed on the fork. I just drilled the threaded center part of the nut with a 12 mm titanium bit, making sure to stuff towels in the bottom to catch all the shavings (if they get on the stanchions could could actually ruin your seals) then tapped it sideways with a screwdriver and hammer and pulled it out. Then you just tighten the extension with a 6mm hex wrench until it’s nice and snug then reassemble the front end. I found the bolt on my cap was a little too long and bottomed out before it was tight so I had to put a bigger spacer on top to take up the extra space to get it tight.

While it looks good and installs well, the bolt is made of hollow aluminum. As soon as pressure was applied to the handlebars, it failed.
