Very nice heavy duty cable. I got this to chain my bike up when I go to the store. I like to ride to keep active and now a days you can’t be sure your bike will be there when you come back for it. Just add a lock.

This cable is exceptionally heavy. We plan to use this to secure cargo in the back of a van by means of a padlock connected to seat anchors. If someone wants the item so secured I'm sure that with enough time and effort, and given the proper tools, they could take it, but for the casual crime of opportunity, this should be sufficient to ensure that the protected items remain where they belong.The cable is thick and heavy, and the loops at both ends make for easy securing where needed. No security method is foolproof, but this one goes a long way toward keeping the bad guys away from what you want to keep!

No lock or cable is perfect, and at best is going to keep people honest, dissuade them from trying, or slow down an active theft. This falls under the first two. You wouldn't need a massive pair of bolt cutters to get through this, wire small handheld end cutters or wire cutters with some determination and you'd be through. It coils well, but feels like it's mostly vinyl cable cover, and visually doesn't seem like a thick metal cable. Coils up nicely, cable ferrules look strong enough, but for a 3/8" 10mm cable the majority seems to be the sheathing. It'll work, and keep things from being grabbed out of the truck bed and walked off with, but not a strong cable or real point of security. For the price in the future I would opt for at least a 1/2" and maybe one from a brand that shows cable cross sections and thicknesses.

I ordered the 4-foot version of this security cable and am happy it will suit my needs. I have a Pelican hard case where I store my tools. This cable will allow me to secure and lock my case to a pole when I'm away from my equipment, giving me peace of mind while I work. The cable is very flexible and coils neatly for storage. My only minor issue is that the rubber protection around the crimped wire loop can become exposed if the rubber piece slips off. A simple fix for this is to wrap tape around that end.

This is a great plastic coated cable that will discourage anyone from stealing.The 7 foot length is great for locking two bikes or for just having an extra foot (they usually come in 6' lengths).Easy to store this cable is a great item to have when needed.

This is a pretty standard 7' security cable, which is really what you want in the product. The loops are strong and don't feel like they will come loose. The cable is plastic coated, to keep from rusting. Overall cable feels strong with no weak points. It secures my bike to the car nicely.Price is right, so this is a good value.Five stars
