nice product. worked well for the birds but the cats in our neighborhood just find ways around them. currently looking for another product but i am definitely happy with this purchase.

My problem was my neighbor's cats getting at the bluebird boxes. They were successful at killing one clutch. I tried everything from nails to tacks to 3 inch screws but nothing can detour a cat except the spikes and they worked! The cat can walk along that 1/2 inch wide plank with ease but the minute they put their paws on these spikes they could not get away fast enough. The easiest way to install these I found was to use the garden cloth fastening pins, slip them through the holes on each end place over the top of the fence then tap them into place with a ball pin hammer and use a stapler just on one side of the fence as shown in photos. Even though I mounted the bluebird boxes at the top of 4 foot electrical metal conduit poles they could not be detoured from jumping. Now they can't get close enough to jump. I left plenty of rooms for the birds to land on the fence!

These spikes have helped keep my fence almost 100% clean of bird droppings. I like birds chirping around the house but I don't need their art work on my fence

At first, these spikes didn't do anything for the birds that kept building nest under our carport. Because. the birds began building nests in between the spikes. I know, my husband remove approximately 15 nests and believe me he was very pissed. Finally, they stopped but it took about 3 weeks.

Pointy, pokey, easy to install. But the raccoons don't care. Haven't been able to outsmart them yet.

Easy to use. I am using it on fence to deter raccoons from getting on my roof and tearing up my shingles… so far so good…
