About this item

  • Made from 4mm, proprietary, 7000 series aluminum alloy for superior tensile and yield strength

The EVO bar is Pro Taper's top of the line bar without a crossbar. Oversize diameter handlebars, without cross bars, were invented, and patented, by Pro Taper. This design allows the bar to flex more and absorb impacts better than other bars. This offers the rider more comfort and less fatigue without sacrificing bar strength. The EVO handlebar utilizes a computer profiled 4mm wall design and is up to 25% lighter than other bars yet up to 45% stronger. Motocross Action magazine says of the EVO bar: "The amount of flex Pro Tapers provide takes the jolting edge off of rough tracks and lessens hand fatigue." and Transworld Motocross magazine says: "We don't care what kind of bike you ride, the EVO will improve the comfort.".

These bars a great. I'm 6' 1" with super long arms, and I wanted the lowest ProTaper bars with the least amount of sweep. These are it. I needed more space on the bike, and dont' like my elbows being pushed backwards. My only complaint is I wish there was more handlebar mounting space since I need to cut a bit off the ends. My one finger clutch lever is going to have to be on the bend a bit. But it seems all the bars are like this.

Interested in the Astra Chris Birch low bars but don’t want to spend $150? These are within 5mm and half the price! I love them, they were intended to be used with under the bar steering dampers, but I prefer these for any purpose! Low bars are the best!

I always put a steering damper on my bikes and just learned to live with the bar height. These bars are perfect if your using a damper, put them on both my bikes.
