I ordered this for my husband and daughter so they could do some martial arts training at home. Upon arrival I was surprised to see that it needed to assembled. I needed a little assistance, but that was not a big issue. It appeared to be of good quality upon first inspection, packed well, and in good condition. My husband and daughter report that it worked great for their home training and was the right size for punching and kicking. It seems durable and comfortable to hold and strike, but not sure about the price point. It seems a bit high to me, but I'm sure that's a standard price for this size of pad.

I'm teaching my girls to box so they can defend themselves if they ever have to. Before we just boxed the air and it's difficult to gauge the power of a punch or the resistance a punch will face when the target is air. With this pad we can now amp up the training and really develope some power behind those punches and strengthen those joints and tendons.

EDIT (7/24/2024) - After speaking with the vendor, I'm adding a star b/c they were extremely responsive and helpful and more than willing to do whatever they could to make it a 'excellent product'. I was able to adjust things a little and add some more padding and it fits quite well now.The main thing a pad needs to do is buffer strikes. To do that, it needs to have adequate padding, has to be able to be held our mounted with stability. If it accomplishes those two things, it still needs to be durable b/c the main use of Pads is repetitive striking.Padding wise, they're good - 8 out of 10. That's arguably the most important thing. But the bag and pads don't fit well. The bag is probably 5 or 6 inches longer than the pads that fill it. I've tried playing with it every way I can but it's just a lot longer. That said, having left over material on the top isn't the end of the world, it looks off but doesn't really impact functionality in any real way.The handles are ok, sufficient for light strikes. If you're trying to hold this with someone that can put power behind their strikes, it's very awkward. The material and stitching is decent but not great and if you've ever held pads for someone, you know you want to be able to get a very solid grip and be comfortable the handles will hold. The side handles are a little small but work but are not easy to get your hands into and don't feel that sturdy. The ones on the back are very sturdy but the placement feels off, I think it's related to the overall length issue. You can't really adjust it and it feels like the issue of the length may be part of the problem. All that said though you can work around it. So on this item I'd give it a 6 out of 10 stars.I've used this for practice totally about 6 hours so far and wear wise, it seems to be doing quite good. I have no doubt it'll last a while so in terms of durability, it's at least an 8 out of 10.This could easily be a real 5 star product, and you get your money's worth out of it. There are a lot of little smaller issues like the size (See picture) that really detract from an otherwise great product. As I say that, note I still use it and plan on using it. They're annoyances but definitely not deal breakers.

Itโs okay. Not my favorite, and not the best. Iโd seen mats that did not come in pieces, but rather, packaged together. You have to fluff up this foam to get it into the casing. Which, Iโm sure the foam will fill out โ as you have to wait at least an hour for it to get back to its original shapeโฆ but itโs not as tough of foam as I thought it would be โ especially to be for striking or blocking. The size is good, and this is good for kids training, but Iโm not sure if it will fit my husbandโs needs (6โ2 / 280 lbs) or even withstand his power. It is comfortable though and it does have good handle placement, but Iโm not sure itโll be durable enough for an adult who has striking experience. It will do and work in our gym for the kids though.

This blocking pad is a pretty fun addition to a house that needs exercise, deep pressure, and balance activities. Itโs just the right size so that we can all use it. An 8-year-old, Mom, Dad. Not too heavy, not too big but it covers enough. The shipping was a little messy. I think they tried to vacuum pack the foam, but it un vacuumed in shipping so the box was trying to explode when I got here but no big deal. Itโs very simple. You take out the two pieces of foam and stick them in the leather case. They fit absolutely perfect. The zipper took a hot second because the lining got a little stuck so just go slow when you zip it up.Gave it to the kid a half an hour before bed and heโs out cold. Good fun.
