  • For small ponds with heavy algae growth, clean the excess algae off the sides and ornaments before adding Bloom Buster Liquid Algae Control.
  • This bottle treats 5,760 gallons of water.
  • Use 1/2 tsp to treat 30 gallons of water. Repeat dosage once per week for maintenance.
  • Effectively controls these types of freshwater algae: Green or Green water algae , Blue-Green algae, Black Beard algae, String or Hair algae, Blanket weed, in ornamental ponds and fountains containing live plants and fish.
  • Algae growth can appear as green water blooms, filamentous algae on plants, floating algal mats (blanket weed), algae, brown growth on ornaments, rocks, fountains, and waterfalls. Can be used with clarifiers. Can be used with pond dyes.

I have used several fountain water algae controls for my bird fountains. It usually takes several ounces to treat a fountain but I am able to use less and treatment last longer and is non toxic with Bloom Buster. I have been very happy with the results.

This works really good in my outdoor fountain. Birds drink from it, so I want the water to be safe and clean. This one kills the algae bloom fast.

My wife and I looked for a product that would tone down the algae growth in our waterfall/pond.We also wanted a product that would also be safe for the wildlife in our backyard. We followed the recommended dosage for our size water feature, and did 2 applications so far, but as you can see, nothing has changed with our algae problem. I would not recommend this product at this point. If there's any advice someone from the product itself could give me on making this work better. Please let us know.

I run an aquatic services company. Used this product to help with a string algae. Used per directions and the green became worse. Tried the product again with even worse results. Seems to kill beneficial bacteria but not algae. Ended up draining, pressure washing, and treating with beneficial bacteria. Algae was eliminated with the use of Microbe-lift bacteria products and not algaecide.
