Out of the box, my spunding valve was unable to manage anything below about 15 psi, and took a lot of jiggling to even vent at that pressure. Attempting to set the valve to spund at a more reasonable 8-10 psi (as tested on a keg of carbonated beer of known pressure) was impossible...it was just far too loose. I have "fixed" the valve by elongating the spring...pretty much the only way to go about it. Used some pliers and some other pliers and pulled to get another 1/8" or so, giving it enough travel to actually engage and disengage the diaphragm at usable pressures.Would highly recommend looking for a better quality spunding valve if you're in the market, but if yours has the same problem that mine did, that's how you fix it.

Bough it as a replacement or another all metal parts unit I purchased on amazon via another vendor. the other unit did not hold pressure, this one has been solid since day one. will be buying another one soon. Using these to pressure ferment and for keg transfers.

I have used this on pressure fermenting lagers and NEIPAs with kveik. Easy to assemble and set up. It is a must have for a homebrewer.

Works as advertised. Can now use a carboy as a secondary fermenter.

First time using it, and when I came back to look at it, the gauge wouldn’t go back down. Very disappointed in this product. Even one of the duotights are impossible to take off. Tubing gets stuck and made.

*5/10/22 UPDATE* listing has been recently updated and no longer mentions tri clamp flare or shows it in picsQuick review… appears to be authentic Kegland Blowtie and I purchased it specifically for controlling pressure in keg during closed, pressurized transfer of carbonated beer from bright tank to keg. Worked perfectly.AS OTHERS HAVE STATED,: the tri-clamp adapter in the pictures and description was NOT included.Disappointed in this.

Would be a 5 if it was made with less plastic, but given the price it is reasonable. It is a bit tricky to be sure the parts are assembled correctly, in particular inserting the clear plastic tubes into the other parts. Not inserted far enough? Could leak. Inserted too far? Could block some openings, especially around the gauge. Also, the fittings on the red valve part need extra attention to see that they are pushed in tightly, or some leaking could occur. In short, a reasonably priced item that seems to work fine as long as you pay lots of attention to assembly.
