Cover is not heat resistant. It's pretty to look at but not practical to use for its purpose. When a hot iron come into contact with the iron board cover it melts the cover fibers and remain on the iron face.

The ironing board cover arrived and it is pretty but it was without the ironing board pad.I called Amazon and was told they are going to send another one with the pad. That is the plan.

Very pretty cover but there is no cover. I'm trying to replace an old cover that is nicely padded but has a silicone iron rest inset on it. I can't use this cover over it. Now I'm buying one that truly has padding.Update: I found the silicone iron rest on my old ironing board cover was sewn on. I took it off and this cover fits perfectly over it. As long as you have a pad to use with it, it is very nice and a beautiful design. I'm still leaving it at 3 stars because the description states "Iron Board Pad" - it absolutely is not, nor has, a pad.

Maybe I misread but I thought this came with padding? I ended up just putting it over my old one. I kept it as I liked the look. I already had to re sew on a velcro strap as it popped off.
