I love these and I’m glad that I ordered them. The bolts are Long! I used a Deep socket to quickly install them. My ladder is aluminum so it was Super easy to drill the holes. They a Very Easy to use. The locking mechanism is simple and reliable. I have Zero worries about the strength. The knurled surface of the legs allows the lock to hold tight with Zero slippage. They are extremely safe.I love the wide pad feet. They kept my ladder from sinking in the dirt when pruning trees. I felt very stable and safe.I also used these on a staircase with overly tall steps and there was plenty of leg length to adapt. They are worth every penny. I can’t believe that I risked my safety for so long when I could have afforded to have something like this.Would recommend.

I wanted to like these. I do not! The concept is great: having a way to adjust for uneven surfaces. However, they have several issues. Especially when trying to attach them to extension ladders.First, when installing on a typical extension ladder, the mounting screws are WAY too long. They protrude inward by about 1-1/4 inches. Perfect laceration hazards for ankles when standing on the bottom rung.Next... Because the typical extension ladder has rungs that protrude outward slightly past the I-beam web, the attachment brackets of these extensions don't set flat on the ladder rails. They would need spacer to keep them in parallel with the ladder rail web. They can be installed above the bottom rung, greatly reducing the height adjustability they are intended to provide. Or they, perhaps, can be installed below the bottom rung but then the round leveler feet interfere with the original 'dual action' feet of the ladder. They may be fine for step ladders, but I am very disappointed that with the sacrifices required if installed on an extension ladder. In order to use these levelers, one must remove the dual function feet of the extension ladder. Otherwise, the levelers must be removed and re-installed when needed, greatly reducing the convenience of having a leveling attachment.

I'm 72 years old and I sure wish I would have bought these 40 years ago when I bought my first house. Would have saved me a lot of worry, stress and a a couple of falls. The kit comes complete with everything you need for a standard installation. Mine wasn't quite standard so I needed a couple of packages of 1/4" stainless steal washers In order to keep the mounting plates from bending (see photos). I also lost one bolt but I had plenty of spares. Followed the instructions and after getting the extra washers it took me about an hour to drill the holes and get the hardware installed. I was skeptical at first but after trying my hardest to make the system fail, I couldn't so I put it to the test. I used the levelers when cleaning out the gutters on my front porch. They worked absolutely great and made the job so much easier (and safer) than in previous years it was just amazing. The step height was approx 8" and I had a bit of length to spare. Easy changeover for the levelers when I did the opposite side. After doing the porch, I did the rear porch and the back side of the house. These things are absolutely great and I'm gonna get a second set to go on my 28' ladder. Since I now know exactly how to mount the hardware, I'll use threadlocker on the second ladder. My absolute highest recommendation.

Sounded like a good idea, but the legs wouldn’t stay in the position needed.

This ladder leveler is a real lifesaver when trying to work on stairs and uneven surfaces. The feet are probably twice as wide and 10 times as grippy as the original feet of my extension ladder. It’s nice that they articulate so the surface area that’s actually touching the ground is so much much more than that of my original arched ladder feet. The attachment hardware ended up being a bit long for the style extension ladder I had so I was forced to cut the bolts to not have them hanging out and making a tripping or injury hazard on the inside of the ladder. Other than that everything went quite well on the installation and I’m very happy with the net result. If I have any longevity issues, I will update my review, but for now, considering price-point...it's a definitely recommend.

Ok I have used 2 x 4 and 1 x 4 to level my ladders for years. This is not the safest option but it worked. I installed these levelers and it is so nice to feel comfortable when I am on a ladder 20-25 get up. I love the way they adjust and the fact the big pads are big enough to grip on whatever you sit it on. Nice base for the ladder. They are so easy to adjust and function flawlessly. I can say these are very well made. I have ordered a 2nd set for my other ladder. Very sturdy and easy to use. Great product for the money.

We've all done it - stacked up bits of 2x4, random boards or even rocks to try to level out a ladder's footing. This is unsafe, but let's face it - we all do it because few of us have leveling feet on our extension ladders. These add-on levelers are easy to install, easy to use, and made of heavy duty materials. All the necessary hardware is included for installation. They work well on my extension ladder and should make it easier for me to be safe the next time I have to set up my extension ladder to clean out the gutters.
