Update I rebought the mic and this time it came in working properly turned out the first one I got had the buttons glued on and was not properly fixed and I never returned it thinking I broke it but now with me buying another to test the waters again I see that I did in fact got a broken device the first time I got this product so 4 stars for now.

like all condensers, this picks up a lot of ambient noise, but that's expected and i loved mics by blue and still find themselves useful.own the baby bottle and bluebird and they rule.

The product was refurbished but not actually fixed. The button on the microphone was missing. Other than that, great sound quality, and easy usability.

This is a great microphone for the price. I bought it refurbished but I can't tell that it was ever defective. The sound quality is great and you don't need to be directly in front of it for it to pick up your voice. It came in a lovely wooden case for safe storage and shipping as well
