I bought this item because it had certain things I liked. The platform at the top to stand and turn on before entering or exiting the pool and the safety flip up stairs.After receiving the item I was excited to put it together. The instructions are confusing and the pictures are unclear. We finally got it assembled and realized they're were not enough screws in the kit so we had to go purchase some to complete the installation. We instantly realized the instability. The top ladder rail bends easily with less than 80 lbs of weight. We bought this for safety so my grandkids could use it without concern. We were unable to stabilize it as my pool rail is to short even at 48 inches to secure it to.Finally when we got the sand in the legs as directed it drained down through the tiny holes in the bottom of the legs,(which did not come with any kind of plug). So now I have sand in my pool.I can't believe I didn't read the reviews on this product before I bought it, I usually do! This is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on amazon and that is saying a lot.My suggestion is don't waste your money! Go with something like the simple aluminum ladder I got with my pool or build a deck!

Have only used this ladder probably 5 times to get in and out of our above ground 15' pool since putting it together 3 weeks ago. At best it was wobbly from the start and it just went downhill from there. The whole ladder has splayed, twisted, sagged and it not safe to use. Huge waste of money and have no options to return. Would not recommend.

This ladder was hard to put together and is very flimsy, even with the sand in it that you have to add. Very disappointed!

Great product. Be sure to cut legs to appropriate height as the top ladder platform "rests" on top of pool rail which gives this product its stability (along with filling legs with sand).... very important.

Overall you get what you pay for. There are a lot of pieces. My only mistake was not fastening the last step on the outside ladder to the structure and not the safety arm. Preventing the safety arm from going vertical.You have to cut the platform arms regardless whether you need 52 or 48 inches.I'm 220 lbs. and the ladder is a bit wobbly side-to-side but still feels solid enough to support my weight.

Did what was needed, A little flimsy and can be a little heavy to remove in the winter for closing, once it is filled with sand.

Needed a big ladder that could accomodate adults. It is much better than the one that came with the pool. It was HARD to put together though but I'm not good at this sort of thing.
