I heard about these BT transmitters as an option to use on airplanes (TX mode) and connect with BT earbuds versus having corded headsets. Found this ifofo Transmitter for a good price on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I like that it has a physical on/off and separate TX/RX switch compared to others I saw online. Also like that it's really small and compact so it won't take up much space in your handbag. Would've been nice if it came with a small carrying case but not a deal breaker.Upon receipt, I charged it up using the included USB-C cable and tested connecting it to my earbuds first just to make sure that worked and I wouldn't experience any challenges. NOTE: You have to make sure that the BT on your other devices that you normally use with the earbuds is off. Otherwise, the earbuds won't connect to the transmitter if it's connected or connecting to other devices.I had a chance to use it on a couple of flights and it worked well. The minor issues I encountered was a tiny bit of latency with the audio and faint background static. Another minor issue I had was figuring out how to actually use the arrow buttons for volume without it trying to change or disconnect the connection with the earbuds. All reasons for 4 stars. Aside from that, the battery life was good as it lasted for two separate 3-hour flights and still didn't need to recharge it. Having the LCD screen is a plus to see and confirm when it's searching for, pairing and connecting with devices. Connection with the earbuds and transmitter was automatic after the initial set up I did when I received it...again as long as I made sure the earbuds weren't connecting or connected to other devices. You can also pair a second set of earbuds if you want someone else to listen to what you're watching. The transmitter is simple to use but I do wish there was a dedicated button for the volume instead of it being combined with the arrows. Overall, it's a good option for frequent travelers who would prefer to use their BT headsets on flights versus the cheap ones that are provided by the airlines or corded ones.I did request a replacement to see if the minor issues will be resolved with a new transmitter. Will update my review once I get a chance to try the replacement.

it works great as a receiver but even though the instructions that came with it list how to connect to separate Bluetooth or how to transmit to two separate Bluetooth devices it does not work this way it will only connect to one Bluetooth device in transmission mode I have done everything possible and cannot get it to connect to two wireless speakers in transmit mode otherwise it seems to be a decent receiver and the transmitter to one Bluetooth device so for the $7 I paid for you know I guess I'll keep it but it doesn't do what I ordered it for and the whole purpose of it was to end up with a completely wireless speaker setup other than that it's lights seems to be a decent quality it looks like a tiny little cell phone

This Bluetooth transmitter/receiver does what it promises—works great on airplanes, letting me pair two AirPods for shared listening. The connection with Bluetooth 5.3 is mostly smooth, though I did experience a slight delay a couple of times. Setup with the 3.5mm jack is easy, so I’ve also used it at the gym and in my car. Overall, it's decent, but not completely flawless.

This is one of the easiest bluetooth transmitters I've set up and used. I love that it has a small screen to show what devices it's actually connected to and if it's connected properly. It was very easy to put it in transmit mode with the toggle switch on the side and connect it to a bluetooth speaker. I was hoping to use this to bluetooth connect speakers to a TV but the TV reduces volume too much through the "headphone" jack. It worked, was just too quiet by no fault of this device. It works great with headphones. I don't have an application for the receiver mode yet, but it did let me connect easily to my phone to transmit to the device as the receiver if i plug it into a speaker system that isn't already bluetooth.
