This thing works really well. In a moderate wind, my boat would be drifting 1-1.5 mph relative to the current. This thing slows me down to 0.3-0.5 mph, making it possible to keep my fishing line more or less vertical.

Thick, good construction. Deploys easily and vent rope makes for easy retrieval. Use on a 27 foot boat. Weighs 9000lbs loaded. Great drift speed for fishing.

My husband is a Pro catfishing Angler and he checked the weather the day before & it was going to be so windy. Haven’t used this yet. Ordered it for a 23’ Northwest boat. It’s well made with heavy duty material and strapping. Orange color is bright, should be able to see it in murky waters. Hope it doesn’t scare the little fishies away. Would order it again if needed.
