These lights are awesome! Installation was straightforward, and they’re really bright. The adhesive holds well, and the clips help with tricky bends. I used the 12V plug option, connected right to my boat battery without issues. The app control is a game-changer with custom colors and music sync. Perfect for night cruises!

Not as bright as I expected. The music reaction is cheap. The light blink with each beat. You do not get different colors with different frequencies or brighter when louder. But they are very well made. It is the description I am knocking.

I recently selected these boat LED strip lights to add some ambience lighting to my apartment, and I'm pretty impressed overall. The 66-foot length is way more than I needed, but it let me get creative with placement around my living room and bedroom.Installation was pretty straightforward - the adhesive backing sticks well to drywall. I did need to get a separate 12V power adapter since these are meant for boats, but once that was sorted out, setup was a breeze.The app control is the star here ... it lets you change colours from your comfy chair, kitchen, yoga mat or bed; adjust brightness, and play with different lighting effects right from your phone. The music sync feature is particularly cool for ambience - the lights pulse and change with whatever tunes I've got playing on Spotify. There's also a handy scheduling feature, so I can set it so warm lighting comes on automatically in the longer evenings of autumn and winter.Build quality seems solid, although I can't really test the waterproofing in my apartment! The lights are bright and the colors are vivid. I especially like using the softer pastel tones for everyday ambience.For apartment use, these might be overkill but if you want a really customizable and feature-packed lighting setup, these lights work great. They've definitely added a fun, colourful vibe to my space that I'm enjoying. Just be prepared to do a little DIY work to get them powered properly indoors. This is a good and inexpensive autumn/winter home improvement project. Buy with confidence.

Every set of led lights I tried from Amazon barely worked or didn’t work at all. Normally have great luck with Amazon stuff but when it comes to marine lights I’d stay away

75% of the 66ft stopped working during install. Seller reached out after seeing this review and I received a replacement for no cost within a couple days. I will update if I have the same issue during install, however am very happy with the sellers willingness to make this right.

These RGB LEDs are marketed as for boats which explains why no power supply is included. You get a standard locking 5.5x2.1, tip-positive barrel connector at the end of the control module and you can connect it to an included 12V cigarette lighter adapter cord or to a cord that ends with wire pigtails. The control box supports 5-24VDC so I found a 12VDC, 5A adapter with the right barrel connector that worked fine. The LEDs immediately sprung to life and started cycling colors randomly.The LEDs themselves are spaced every 2 inches so this definitely will look nicer on a longer run. White plastic mounting clips are included or you can use the adhesive strip.The included remote broadcasts on 2.4GHz frequencies so line of sight isn't needed. It takes CR2025 to CR2032 button cells. My remote didn't work right out of the box but taking out the battery and re-inserting it fixed whatever problem I had.With the remote, you can command a selection of solid colors, or random, and change the speed, brightness, cycle mode, sleep timers (1, 2, 3 hours) or select one of three sound-activated light modes so you can time the lights to the beat of music. You can also download a phone app to connect over Bluetooth and this gives you a lot more fine control over the light patterns and modes. I like that when you select color modes the lights fade to the selected color. A nice touch.These lights would look great on a boat, a dock, a rec room, and a bunch of other places.

I opted to install these lights directly to my battery, using some crimp on ring connections that fit my battery posts. I mounted the receiver box with some double-sided tape inside the battery compartment, and it’s been able to pick up the remote’s commands when the compartment is closed.The installation is the same as any other strip light, except that the strip itself is thicker and stiffer, making bends a little challenging. I used the included clips to help with radial curves. The adhesive seems to be quite strong and bonded well with the plywood of the pontoon deck, but I would have liked more clips to secure the long straight runs.I’ve given up on all the apps that come with lights like this, relying solely on the remote, which does a fine job of giving me an ample variety of colors. We own several strip lights from Tendist, these being our most recent, and the quality has been consistent. Overall, I’m happy with both the performance and appearance of these lights.
