Recently, my dad and I decided to work on restoring an old row boat into a tiny bass boat for our pond. We spent over a year building, and within the first 3 to 4 months of using it, both of our seat brackets have broken. The welds are unreliable even though they supposedly have a 350-pound weight limit. We have to tear back up our entire subfloor to replace the brackets. Extremely dissatisfied and highly recommend purchasing different mounts!

Fits the standard pin size perfect. I wish the plastic inset piece looked tougher but it's holding for now.

The ad said it would be aluminum. It was steel. It works fine. I didn't care if it was steel or aluminum but someone else might. It's still a good product.

Put this seat, post & base in a small fishing boat. It swivels, not too big, not to small, comfortable & has a built in shock absorbing spring. Sturdy and a convenient height , so my knees are not in my chest. A clamp on design seat base, wouldn't work due to the decking I installed.
