Pretty easy to install, except for drilling a hole in the trailer (make sure you have metal drill bits) Once we had them installed the boat is secure and easy to work with.

Really like the wide hook to strap down my 14 foot V bottom aluminum fishing boat.

I got some float pods welded to the back of my boat and the transom straps weren't working out. I got these, and I should of bought them years ago. There slick and worth the money.

I am so glad that I don't have to clamp down that strap anymore. These are so convenient and worth the money. I would encourage anyone to get these. Must Buy.

I had to wait forever to get these but I’m glad I did. These are the nicest tiedowns I’ve ever seen they retract right into the housing very nicely. They are breeze to put in as well. We’ll see how long they last. I highly recommend these.

Installed these on the light trailer for my 16' x 48" aluminum jon boat. They are much easier to use than the transom straps I had before. They are ridiculously easy in action-- push the release, pull the strap up, hook to the gunwale, then crank the ratchet a few times to tighten the strap. Unhooking is even easier: push the release, pull the hook off then drop it. It rolls up and waits patiently for the next use.Installation was pretty straightforward. You do have to have a clear spot on the frame, about six inches gives you plenty of room. You will have to drill fairly heavy metal, with a largish hole. You'll need the correct sized bit and a drill big enough to hold the bit.

Where have these been all my life? I kept having problems with the boat straps popping loose and losing them. After the strap popped off then the boat could bounce all over and had the potential to cause all kinds of problems. These are more costly but they work. Easy to install, easy to use and they hold the ol' drift boat in place solidly. Way better than messing with a strap that you have to handle, find in the back of car when you need it and worry about them coming loose. These are a much more elegant solution and are worth the money if you ask me.

Little more heavy-duty than I require, but they work well enough. Sticky release after two outings to a lake down a dirt road. May not hold-up in the remote conditions I travel. For those who need to know (because this horrible ad does not tell you), it is a pair (i.e. two) of the boat buckles.

The best buckle for securing a drift boat. Fits a Clackacraft nicely.
