These protect your meter if connected wrong. These are smaller than automotive glass fuses. It's necessary to never use a larger rated one, although smaller is OK. I can't test the speed at which these separate. Hope I don't have to find out the hard way 😀

These are not generally available at hardware stores, big box or otherwise. Seeing them on Amazon made them a good value automatically. My limited knowledge of multimeters and my research told me that the ceramic fuses are the way to go, not the glass ones.Anyway, good buy, goid quick service.
