I’ll be completely honest: I love aliens and ordered this set because of how cute it is even though there are no bikes in my household that have hand brakes. These little guys are adorable and my 5 & 8 year old children have been carrying them around the house and playing with them.My kids’ bikes don’t have hand brakes, they’re the kind where you reverse the pedals to stop, but once winter ends I’m going to try to squeeze these onto their normal bike handles. Each little alien would also look nice below the rear reflector on a bike (if it has one.)

Very useful to help stop my bike rolling when leaning it up against something I leave on the bar and use when I need it

I had surgery and needed to use a mobility scooter. Unfortunately keeping the “gas” pedal down with my hand all the time made my hand very sore. I is fun to ride around the neighborhood and get some fresh air after surgery. So, I actually use these ties to keep the “gas” hand pedal engaged when I’m outside and going long distances. Works like a charm. These would also work for the brakes, but my scooter doesn’t really need that. So, they are a bit pricey but they do work and they were just what I needed. Highly recommended!

Cute Japanese item & works well. It looks good and works to hold the brake. I will have to see how long it will last of elasticity and keep itself clean. Works well for both rim & disc. Women's hair band works too but this is a stronger grip. Really good in subways or trains where u do NOT want the bike to move around as it may cause injury.

I've always had a problem when standing my bike up - especially on uneven ground- of it rolling forward or back and falling over. keep these hanging from your handle and when you park simply slide these over to keep the brake applied. so easy and functional its amazing. the only "drawback" to these is how cute they are with the cat image. My daughter is now using them and I have to buy another pair for me.

Such as simple idea, wish I had thought of this. A great solution for incline surface. We have a baby in the house for a few days who loves to play with wheels, such as on my bike, and with the brakes locked with these silicone bands the bike is less likely to fall over. FYI, my bike is in my office, but others in the house will sometimes forget to properly close the door when they walk into the office and leave, which leaves an opportunity for the 15-month old to walk in and get into trouble.

I have an adult tricycle. Not one of those upright numbers that looks like a little kid's tricycle on steroids. 😆 This is a gorgeous recumbent "Ice" brand trike—two wheels up front, one in the back, with a "reclining on your back" seating posture. 🏆My recumbent trike is awesome. I take it all over town, and I even clip my dog to the frame so he can exercise right alongside me. 🐕🦺🚴♂️ It's the bee's knees. 🐝✨But when I arrive at the destination (the Post Office or the ice cream shop, usually 📬🍦), I stand up, let go of the brakes... and the trike wants to roll away! 😱 Especially if my dog, clipped to the frame, tries to follow me to where I’m standing in line for ice cream. 🐕💨Well, the last thing I want to happen is for my trike to roll off into traffic 🚗💥 or bump into a parked car, stroller, or anything else. So I need SOME way to keep the brakes engaged. 🛑And these aliens are all over it for me. 👽✅They are fun, adorable, and they do exactly what they're supposed to do. No fuss. No muss. They're not heavy. They're not complicated. 🔧✨I can get away with just using one, if I want, but I use both for security. 🔒🔧🚴♂️ Other Use Cases:✔️ When your two-wheeled bike is propped up against a wall. 🏠🚲✔️ When it's on a bike rack on the back of your car, to keep the wheels from spinning. 🚗🔗✔️ To keep your pedals from being spun by your wheels spinning in the breeze. 💨🔄Good stuff. Go aliens! 👽🔥 Peace, Love, Bikes! 🚲💚✌️

I found these difficult to stretch over the brake levers. When I put them on the handlebars where they would line up to catch the ends of my brake levers, the little "aliens" put an uncomfortable lump under my fingers. They are cute and they may work for stronger hands, skinnier handlebars or closer brake levers.

I got this for my mountain bike. It adds a dimension of stability when storing the bike, or just leaning it against a wall or a tree. Added value: rubber duckies on my handlebar. It’s been holding up well so far.

These are essentially very durable rubber bands. In a pinch, rubber bands will do the job, but normal rubber bands are likely to be less durable and not size correctly for both when used with the brakes and when just on the handle.Outside of being glorified rubber bands, these do the job and do it well. The bands make it significantly easier to park your bike on a slope. My main complaint is the decorative face on the bands.I didn't really think about it when purchasing but, when the bands are on the handle, the decorative face has an annoying feeling when my hands are touching them... Not a showstopper but still an annoyance.

These bike handlebar brake straps are a neat idea. They fit perfectly on my bike handle bar when not in use and are small enough that they don't get in the way of my grip. They're soft silicone and stretchy. They're really well made and I don't see any manufacturing defects. The duck beak and eyes detail are actually quite sharp for its small size. They are very stretchy which allows them to work has described by firmly gripping the brake lever tothe handlebar with no chance of slipping. I don't have any concerns of them breaking or snapping due to its flexibility. My bike is already heavy and has a lot of accessories so I was concerned about weight but these really don't add any weight at all. This product allows me to stop my bike on an incline when I need to take a break for a few minutes instead of needing to find level ground and needing to rest the bike up against my body. I can actually step away from it when using one on each handlebar.I would definitely recommend them due to their weight to functionality ratio.

Excellent, they are made of a nice thick silicone and do the job they were design for perfectly. They are ideal if you travel with your bike, take the wheels off, insert the brake rotor spacers and then use these to apply constant pressure on the brake lever and hold the spacers in place. This protects your brake callipers from becoming dislodged, of course you could use elastic bands or Velcro straps but it’s nice to have a dedicated and strong band that stores on your handlebars so you won’t lose them.
