This bone saddle was a very nice upgrade for my solid mahogany acoustic...really makes it sing. It had a Tusq saddle, which made it sound a bit too "woody" for my taste. I only had to do a little bit of sanding, for fit, and it went right in and the action is near perfect at the 12th fret.

I just needed a taller saddle because I replaced my stock pickup in my JV-05e with an LR Baggs Anthem. But I have to say, having just installed it and having not even plugged it in yet, my guitar sounds really, really good. Crisper somehow. Richer. Don’t know enough about saddles to say why, but this has been a real delight.

I needed a compensated saddle and I couldn't believe I found a "Wave Comp" saddle available. The part is of superior quality and needed very little adjustment. After install the intonation was 99% on,,, incredible !!! It took very little time to make the adjustment and I tested it on 3 diff tuners. As said,,, INCREDIBLE !!! If ya take your measurements correctly I can't see anyone having a problem installing this saddle. They even give you some sand paper in case you haven't any. But as I said this piece slid rite into my bridge, I filed it down to make the action nice and I had 1 string that needed additional filing to correct intonation. I couldn't believe it, lol, I had the guitar clamped down like it was going to be major surgery lol, but I could've just filed the height for action and called it a day. INCREDIBLE !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND ITS PARTS

I originally posted this as a comment to a video on YouTube titled "How To Replace Bone Saddle On Acoustic Guitar" created by the seller of this saddle (MacNichol Guitars). I was asked If I might write a review so I'll just quote my original comment:"Just wanted to say bought one of your wave compensated saddles through Amazon Got one that put me in the ballpark dimensions wise. Nice touch supplying piece of abrasive cloth with the saddle. Was perfect for the job. Double side taped it to the kitchen counter and went at it for an hour. Finally replacing the plastic saddle on an acoustic I received as a gift in 1973. Took a slight belly out of it with a JLD bridge doctor and now with your compensated saddle. Intonation is near perfect. I'm literally choking up here, it plays and sounds the best it has in 45 years. Thanx."
