From the Manufacturer

Carbide tipped plywood mortising bits are micrograin bits designed with undersized cut diameters to match up to the actual thickness of 1/4", 1/2" or 3/4" plywood. They produce a tight fit when mortising standard plywood. 84603M is for 3/4″ plywood.

This bit worked very well for mounting nominal 3/4" in ADX plywood into pressure treated 4x4s. The cut grove was 3/4 of an inch deepand the bit is still good even though all of the smoke leaked out of the router driving this bit. The grove width was just right so that Ihad to apply gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet to the plywood to get it to "slip" into the grove. Simple a great bit.

not exactly sure why but the plywood you buy in stores today is not a true 3/4" in thickness rather 23/32". The 1/32" makes a HUGE difference if you are trying to make a tight dado cut. Commonly used in making a book case of for whatever reason this bit is a must have for making tight fitting dado's (grooves that the 23/32" plywood will tightly slip into).

SIze of the bit was not an issue but the bit I recieved looked like it was recycled from a worn out 3/4". Only used it on 50' linear of birch ply and it is dull and chipped. Actually I was not very impressed with its cut from the beginning. I own too many Bosch products to list but this bit does not stand up to the Bosch name. Bosch - don't throw away a billion+ dollar reputation over a $20 bit - do it right or don't do it at all.
