These are good quality, affordable drill bits. I did break this one but it was due to operator error not the quality of the bit. I was using too much force and running the bit at a high speed while cutting steel causing it to break. I was able to sharpen it and it still cuts fine but bits this size and length need to be run at a lower speed with minimal pressure applied in order to avoid breaking them. If you can manage that these bits will last you a while even if you're cutting aluminum and mild steel, I'd recommend using some cutting oil when cutting metal.

This worked perfectly for drilling reference holes, from the back, before cutting up the drywall by approximation.It is very thin, of course that's the point of drilling reference holes, so drill & handle carefully.

Thank You Thank You Thank You BOSCH! Fantastic product. There is no other product this thin and long on the market. It is fantastic for drilling reference holes and sticking out to help find walls and exact location in attics, crawl spaces, etc. The process is simple, fast, accurate, foolproof, virtually no mess and super easy to finger-patch (no sanding, or painting necessary because the hole is tiny) after it serves its purpose.
