It also provides 14.1 ft.-lbs. of impact energy for top-rated power. At under 27 lbs., it has outstanding performance-to-weight ratio in a 2-Inch hammer. It features Vibration Control for additional operator control while mitigating vibration in the hammer mechanism and in the handle. This hammer provides Constant Response circuitry for smooth starts, precise hole placement and constant speed under load. Vario-Lock positioning permits rotating and locking the chisel with precision. And the SDS-max bit system provides tool less bit changes.

I used this to drill 15" deep 1.5" diameter holes in big hard-rock boulders, so I could split them with demolition expansion mortar (Dexpan). This monster had no trouble hammer-drilling into the rocks. It has good anti-vibration features, which reduces operator fatigue. I ran fine off a 3kW portable generator. This is a solid, top-quality unit. I wish I'd bought it years earlier.

Bosch tends to produce hit or miss tools these days by my experience. You pay for this thing, but it works for its intended purpose, comes with a nice case including enough storage for the bits you need for a job. Plus it'll drill holes in drywall for hanging pictures without even turning it on.

This was bought to replace my first Bosch, which lasted 20 years before the hammer function failed. I considered getting it rebuilt, but had to get something quick to finish a backfill compaction job. This one feels every bit as good and solid as the old one.

This is the third one we have bought for driving anchors into soil or sand and they keep breaking after a few months.

This one is stronger than my old one. I mostly use it for digging trenches and slab leaks. Don't use the new round shovel to dig with. It was a Bad design. Worth the money. I lost my last one during the fires or it would still be kicking ass. I cored many 4" holes in the side walk for a new area drain. You will need a car to push off to make it much easier. This is Bosch's best tool. I am not a fan of their cordless tools ( to weak). Milwaukee is better

I bought the drill after fighting smaller ones while drilling 30 inch deep 3/4 and 7/8 holes in hard rock. It was a beast and did a great job but suddenly with a whiff of singed electronics the drill lost all power and speed. It was like the motor had been dialed back from speed 6 to speed 3 except it had no torque or power. I hate to say it but the Harbor freight drills lasted longer though they drilled at half the speed. I will take it to their service center about 80 miles away and see what they say. I was 12 days past the amazon 30 day return mark. The service link on the amazon order will take you to Bosch's appliance warrantee center so you will have to search for their tool page. Bought it on October 7th 2019 and it died on November 23 having only seen use on weekends. The thing looks and is brand new, after spending $1000 on a tool I really protected it. Very disappointed but will update after I drop it off with the service center. I tried to buy the best tool I could afford for this project and I sure hope that wasn't a mistake. Given it broke just before I had an unbroken slot of 6 days to dedicate to the work lost time alone is going to be way more than the price of the tool... the very thing I was trying to avoid by buying quality.Update: shop diagnosis was an issue with the brushes getting a period of low voltage. Sounds like that isn't a drill issue but a power supply issue. At least the tec thought so. Gun has run without issues ever since. Changed reviews to reflect it wasn't a manufacturer issue as per the service center.

We already have rotary hammer drills, but this one is better and stronger than the ones we have. Our employees have requested we get more of the Bosch Turbo Rotary Drill.

Drill works very well. But once I put two larger bits in storage box the plastic handle broke. So very hard to transport because of size of case and drill itself.
