This Jig Saw Blade works perfectly on Ceramic Tile. You'll need to take it a little slow, especially on thin Tile; Otherwise the Tile could Crack if you try to rush it. I'm very pleased with it. Cut on the top side of the Tile or it will be more likely to crack. It leaves a perfectly SMOOTH cut.

The speed is so slow, at around 1mm per minute, that by the time I cut 10mm of porcelain tile, my 20V 2 AH battery runs out of power.

I've been adding a bathroom to my basement and found a fantastic 12x24 tile at the Re-Store.Great quality, porcelain, the down side of a porcelain tile is, It's Hard. Meaning you can't just cut it like a ceramic tile, you need diamond blades and bits. I started out using my Roto Zip with a diamond blade to cut out shower fixtures, and that turned out to be a chore, used a $20 diamond bit, and it took about 20 min to get the handle cut out.So when it came time to cut the toilet flange out, i went a different direction. I found this diamond jig saw blade for hard tile, perfect for my cordless jigsaw. I did a little research, you don't want to cut porcelain tile dry, all you will do is over heat the blade and dull it or even worst break it. So the trick I found was to fill a small bucket to the rim with water and place the tile on top of it so the blade goes through into the water. cut slow with moderate pressure. This blade did the job in 1/4 of the time with no effort and no dust. cut the circle out perfect! If your working with Hard Tile this is the blade for the job!

It cuts through the ceramic tiles. It struggles, it needs to be kept wet, it is slow to do so, it causes chips in the surface but it gets the job done. If all you need to do is to widen the hole just a bit to fit that pipe through the tile or make some odd shape that will have the edge covered with a trim this is the way to go. Just keep your expectations reasonable - it ain't no wet saw or even diamond blade on angle grinder. I've made a total of about 12-14 inches of cuts in pretty hard tiles so far and it still holds - keep it cool (watered) to make it last.

I bought the blade to do small cuts in ceramic floor tiles, I'm also using an angle grinder with a diamond blade for circles and an electric tile cutter for long straight cuts. The blade bent within 30 seconds, this could just have been bad luck but the carbide blades I also got have not bent. Delivery was fine but I wouldn't buy this.
