East to assemble. Good height and decent quality. The backrest pushes into you when sitting so the posture isn’t very comfortable. Also after using it for a while in an office I can tell you this will not last very long. It is not as durable and sturdy as I expected but still ok for the price.

I have had this stool for a few days now and it exceeded my expectations. I have been doing drafting work for 36 years and just about everyone back in those early years used 36" high tables. I still prefer a stool over a chair because of moving about in the office quite a bit during the day. The chair is stable because of the 5 point feet/ wheels, I love the adjustable arms. I weigh 230 lbs and I find it very comfortable for a person my size. The back support is designed well and gives me plenty of support. I can't say anything about its long term use or durabilty but I am sure I will on a daily basis. Assembly was a breeze and it only takes 10 screws. I had it unpacked and assembled in 20 minutes. I thought the instructions were very adaquate.

The original chair that I got must have had a slight bend in either the ring or the piece connecting the ring to the base. It was leaning in a particular direction and it would therefore would swivel on it's own in that direction. I was pretty upset. I had purchased it with Digital-Wholesale and my experience with them in getting the chair fixed was awesome. They were very prompt in their responses and more than willing to help me figure out the issues. They sent me an image of the chair blueprint, had me circle the parts that were problematic and send the image back to them. They very promptly sent the new pieces out.The chair is pretty comfortable and firm. I got it to help my back since I sit a lot at work. This way I can have my legs extended while I'm still sitting, but not be forced to use a hard stool.

The chair is fine, though it compresses well below the 31.5" maximum height when sat upon (it compresses as much as 2-3 inches), and there were no screws to attach the arms (I assume a packing mishap--it happens, no worries). In any case, because of the compression the chair would not work for my application. I requested a return from the company that shipped it, CYMAX, but I had to contact their customer service directly using their toll free number--no problem. I was told by CYMAX through Amazon's email system that all I had to do was provide my email address so they could email me a return label (Amazon's email system deletes emails for security purposes)--no problem, I understand.I was on hold for more than 10 minutes waiting for a customer service person. The customer service person did not speak English well (I think I'm pretty understanding and work with many people with various accents, but he was really hard to understand), but then he put me on hold for another 4 minutes to "find my information." He then told me he would "put in the notes" my email address and that I should get a label within 48 hours. I asked why it would take so long, and he struggled to explain it, plus I could barely understand what he was saying. I proceeded to ask to speak with a supervisor because I was frustrated by how long this was taking and could not be confident my return was going to be processed correctly. He put me on hold for another 4 minutes only to come back and try to explain to me that he had entered my email (no supervisor, not even a mention of my request). I asked again to speak with a supervisor and he continued to tell me he put my email in the file. I asked to speak with a supervisor several more times before he asked me why I wanted to speak with a supervisor. I told him it did not matter at this point because I had already asked to speak with a supervisor 5 times, and now I asked for a sixth time. It took 8 requests to FINALLY get a supervisor.I explained to the supervisor that I had now been on the phone for nearly 25 minutes (10 of those waiting to speak with someone) and could not be sure my return was going to be processed. I get call centers can be busy and that sometimes the wait can be long. I get that often times we will be speaking with someone for whom English is not their first language. I am generally a patient person, but 25 minutes to give an email address is ridiculous. She was very polite and apologized. She said she was not sure why it would take so long to do something that should only take 2-3 minutes at most (I assume after the initial 10 minute wait). She then took down my email address herself just to be sure they had it. I appreciated her perspective and her assurance, as well as her taking my information "just in case." But, WOW. I will being paying MUCH more attention at who is actually sending the items I buy through Amazon.

Nice firm cushion and backrest. Someone else said there was no backrest tilt - and to some extent they are correct. The tilt is included on the backrest and allows a sufficient amount of tilt (without needing a whole tilt mechanism). If you are looking for a chair to tilt back and slouch in, this is not it. If you are looking for a chair that is ergonomic but allows you to lean back a little, this chair is perfect. This chair almost forces you to sit up straight (which I like). The footrest is perfect for my garage workbench, and the arm rests are sufficient. I do wish the arm rests were a little wider on the surface area, but they do provide adequate support. At first i thought they forgot to include the screws for both the bottom plate and the arm rests, but soon realized the screws were already inside the bottom of the chair. You have to unscrew them to use them for mounting. Also, as others have stated, there is no mention of how to install the foot rest, but it's pretty easy to figure out.* You can also look at the box of extension parts to see a diagram of how to install, but otherwise, here you go: *1) After assembling the bottom legs/casters, put item C (the black pipe with openings on both ends) into the center hole.2) Install the ring and push down to seat it into item C.3) Then place the hydraulic system into the ring with the clear/white button facing upwards.3) Install the plastic sleeve mechanism with the big opening towards the bottom.4) Place your assembled seat/back/armrest on top.I attempted to cancel this order prior to it shipping, but it ended up shipping anyway. I was going to return it, but decided to see how it felt before I did. After assembling it and trying it out - I already love it too much to send it back. It really feels like a quality ergonomic chair for $115 - and definitely worth it in my opinion!
