I have four of these locks, two on rifles and two on pistols. Fit well and very secure, far more convenient with code locks than having to faff with keys.

This is not a security device.What it will do is prevent a loaded firearm from having an accidental discharge during handling or storage. That's it. Fortunately that's what I wanted, but be aware of this. It does work on the AR I'm using it on, but it's not ideal fitting for this either. Obviously to prevent trigger actuation, the bar has to go behind the trigger, which prevents the lock from fitting well in the trigger guard.But it works. The lock is a typical low-security 3 digit setup, and works as expected. Three stars might be harsh but I deducted for the poor fit and because it's not really secure. If what it is happens to be what you want, then it might be a 5 star item for you. For my specific use I'd give 4 stars, but overall, for how it's marketed, 3, sorry.

I used this to secure my 12 ga shotgun. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The lock mechanism was crisp and fits firmly through the trigger guard. I bought this for safety and to comply with my states new gun law. IMO excellent value for it's price.
