3 degrees f outside and I shoveled snow for 3 1/2 hours and was sweating. Forgot to mention the wind blowing out of the north at 15 mph the whole time. All I wear underneath is a tee shirt. The pictures are the hood both inside and outside and the inside of the jacket. This has plenty of pockets, and a sturdy metal zipper, as well as snaps on a flap over the zipper. There’s a rope about waist high that allows you to sinch the jacket snug around your waist. Also a flap on either side of the hood that closes with Velcro. Excellent jacket for cold weather tasks!

My church supports the community with generally used coats We had a need for a very large size that we couldn’t find. This was a well made and warm jacket that we were grateful to find this large size at a reasonable price.

BIG MENRECOMMMEND 100%I AM 6FT 1 INCH AND 325 BUT VERY ACTIVE AND LIVE IN OHIO WITH COLD WEATHER. JUST RECIEVED MY COAT AND FOR THE PRICE IT WAS A SUPER PURCHASE. GREAT FIT, QUALITY MATERIAL, WILL KEEP YOU WARM BUT YOU CAN STILL MOVE PLUS LOTS OF POCKETS. ITS NOT SPORTY OR SLICK LOOKING BUT IT IS A WINTER COAT THAT WILL DO THE JOB. I FIGURED FOR THE PRICE IT WOULD BE CHEAP BUT NO, I RECOMMEND IT AND THIS IS THE ONLY REVIEW I HAVE EVER MADE ON AMAZON.

Overall I like this jacket. It's not too light, it's not to heavy. It has the exterior of a windbreaker with the interior of a bomber style jacket. It's pretty big and comfortable with plenty of pockets to hold all of my things. The coat feels like it's an ok quality and the outside is somewhat waterproof. The great thing about this coat is that it has a hood that zips off so I can just use it as needed. The buttons feel rather tough and I don't think that I'm going to be accidentally breaking them anytime soon. It's worth the price tag I feel and I think I'm going to be getting good use out of it.

Just received this jacket today. Wow, what a jacket ! It is very well made and will be nice and warm. The major thing it fits. I am 6’4” 250. Normally I wear a 2X Tall. I ordered a 3X Tall, to be able to wear a heavy flannel shirt underneath. There will be no problem. I had originally ordered a perma loft jacket same size from LL Bean and had to return it. Even with just a T-shirt underneath the zipper barely closed and forget about being able to move my arms, very tight. This jacket is true to size and $100 cheaper. The construction is very good, detachable hood, storm cuffs, wind/rain resistant and very soft lining inside. If you’re a size like me and not some skinny male model, don’t be afraid about ordering it. It looks very good when worn. It will keep you warm without being bulky. Excellent job Amazon/Boulder Creek.

I’m 6’4” and unfortunately around 500lbs. was worried initially that I was at max of stomach dimensions .but was very happy to be able to zip up and sit comfortably without having to unzip. Over all I am extremely satisfied quality and performanc.

I am 6' 4", 220 lbs. Reviewing size Large TallI originally ordered the XL Tall based on their recommendations, but it fit like a sack. Returned it for a size Large Tall but was sent a 5X Tall. Returned it and finally got the Large Tall. It is still very roomy.The jacket does a good job of blocking the wind, is light, and there is plenty of room to layer a flannel shirt and heavy sweater under it. In fact, the jacket is much larger through the body than a normal size large. The length is perfect. Wore it today for a walk along a Lake Erie beach in 29°F temp with 25-30 MPH winds. I was comfortable, but if was much colder, this may not do the job.The hood is small and the straps will not fasten under my chin. (incorrect hood attached?) Good thing the hood is removable, but disappointing that I can't use it.The collar can not be zipped all the way up when wearing the jacket unless you have no chin or a very long neck.A lot of loose threads to cut off. I'm hoping it doesn't end up looking like another reviewer's jacket.Good price, hope it's a good value. I'm keeping it.

I ordered an 8XL for my son who usually wears 5XL as I wanted him to have room for sweaters etc. In reality, this coat is more like a 6XL. It is also thinner than I expected, though he says it is warm. Delivery was pretty good, it took about 3 weeks to get here.

This jacket fits great and looks pretty good. I'm 5' 11" tall, 180 lbs and got the 1x size, which Iguess translates to extra large. The sleeves aren't too long, and the jacket comes to about mid-thigh. Andit's roomy without being ridiculous, which is what I wanted. Nice.However, don't buy this expecting a toasty warm jacket. It is very light. When I saw the bag it came in onthe front porch, I thought yay my jacket is here, then picked up a feather weight package. You will need tohave something underneath it for below freezing temps, which we get here on Ohio's north coast.Wear a fleece or fur-lined hoodie underneath and just remove the hood that comes with the jacket. That'swhat I did and it's fine. If you have a long walk to your car, you'll want more underneath this jacket than just the shirt you have on.There are 4 roomy snap pockets on the front and one inside pocket. There are also 2 hand pockets on theside which are too low, and completely useless. Oh well.Summary: I took off 2 stars for the hand pockets and how light it is. I gave it a star forthe price and fit. Price was a big consideration for me. It ended up with 4 stars.
