I've had to replace multiple stats in my small 4plex (including the expensive "landlord" stats) in the last couple of weeks!! It looks like all the big, old names (Honeywell, etc) have gone Chinese!! After much searching, I found this brand!! I don't know where it's made (probably also China) and it does have some bad reviews. But. one review convinced me to try it!! He said they could be set to control the upper limit and that none his tenants had changed them!! He also said they were all working as intended (no timeline) so, I got three and have one running my place!! The "programming" is very simple!!!Only a couple of days now... but... So far...so good!!

Easy to read and change the temperature. I like that you can "program" the limits to prevent the temperature to high. It can be reprogrammed if someone knows how, but that hasn't happened to me by my tenants ... yet.

This item is in no way tamper proof. The temperature setting can be changed, the face can be easily removed from the back plate. There is nothing about this item that is tamper proof. I bought it for rental property and it is totally inappropriate for my purpose. I contacted Amazon who made be contact seller. Waited over a week to be told the return window was closed, they disagree with my complaint that the description is wrong and said I cant return an item I installed. I would only know it did not fulfill the description once it is working and installed. Huge disappointment with PartzShop who sold it. Thanks to Amazon I received a full refund.
